The 2014 Golden Globes results are in and Steve McQueen‘s 12 Years a Slave scored seven nominations. Of those nominations, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong’o were recognized as Best Actor in a Drama and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
Shortly after hearing the news, Nyong’o and lead actor Ejiofor, spoke to the Today show.
“It’s been such a rewarding experience from the get go,” said Nyong’o. “The way the film is being received is so exciting and encouraging.”
“It’s just been terrific,” Ejiofor adds. “Ever since we opened up the film, I couldn’t be more happy with the way the film has been received. It’s been an extraordinary time.”…
The historical drama film ties American Hustle with the most nominations for the annual awards show. A big congrats to them!
