NBC rang in the Christmas holiday once again with the annual lighting of its 76-foot Norway Spruce tree at New York City’s Rockerfeller Center.
During Wednesday night’s ceremony (December 4), a slew of stars performed holiday favorites, including Ms. Diva Mariah Carey, singing duo Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, soul singing Mary J. Blige and songbird Ashanti!
Carey kicked things off with a performance of “Joy to the World” and later returned to sing her 1994 hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds sang a smooth rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” while MJB took us back with the Donny Hathaway classic, “This Christmas.” Unfortunately, we couldn’t find out what Ashanti sang. Either way, she looks great in her rehearsal photos up top!
Peep their performances in the videos after the jump. As for the actual tree, it will be lit from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. EST every week until January 7th, 2014 and for 24 hours on Christmas Day.
