On Monday evening, Fast and the Furious costar Michelle Rodriguez finally broke her silence in lamenting over her longtime friend via Twitter:
I’m gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and Im gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to.
The 35-year-old actress, who worked with Paul Walker in a handful of Fast & Furious films, posted photos of herself and her colleague just days before the fatal car crash. Earlier Tuesday morning (December 3), Vin Diesel, who also refers to Paul Walker as his “brother,” attended the late costar’s fan-made vigil at the crash site and made an impromptu speech in Santa Clarita, Calif. using a sheriff car’s microphone (see video below):
At this hard time his family gets to see all of you show the love that you’ve shown Paul. It’s going to stay with me forever. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciate him. Thank you.
