According to DnaInfo.com, a 24 year-old Chicago rapper named Qaw’mane Wilson was arrested and charged earlier this week for arranging a hit on his mother for one sole reason – “financial gain.”
On September 2, 2012, 45 year-old mother, Yolanda Holmes and the proud owner of a well-known Uptown salon, Nappy Headz, was gunned down and stabbed in her home.
Within two months, her son became the sole beneficiary of two of her life insurance policies and withdrew more than $90,000 from her bank accounts, $20,000 of which he flaunted and gave away to fans in a music video…
Investigators eventually turned their attention to her only son, who was revealed to having two accomplices – Loriana Johnson, 23, (the getaway driver) and Eugene Spencer, 22 (the hired hitman). On Christmas Eve of this year, the local artist and actor was charged with murder, home invasion and “aggravated discharge of a firearm.”
Holmes was a proud 15-year owner of her salon, was said to be involved in the community and a loving mother. Friends and family are still confused as to why her son decided to have her killed:
‘I’m glad we got closure,’ Yunae Holmes, the victim’s sister and Wilson’s aunt, said Tuesday. ‘I’m trying to figure out why he would do such a thing. She did everything for him.’
