"We all make our own choices.."

Rapper Pusha T was recently in North Philadelphia, filming the “Tryna Get Me One” music video with Philly rapper Gillie Da Kid.
While on a break from shooting scenes, he caught up with ‘Pull of Gravity’ film directors El Sawyer and Jon Kaufman to speak candidly about his past hustling life, the “pull” of the streets and his take on the reentry of prisoners into society.
At the end of the day, we are all grown men and we all make our own choices, we all make our own decisions. But I’m telling you like this, it’s real situations out here. And you’re listening to a rap artist who has sold a million records and then I’ve sold no records. I’ve been on hiatus. I’ve been shelved by a label. And at the end of the day, I’ve had to do what I had to do.
Ms. Lauryn Hill has been in the news as of late for her pending tax problems. The singer-songwriter has seen better days and her tax evasion charges are at the top of her worries.
Earlier this week, she attended court in New Jersey and was granted two weeks to pay back the $1.8 million dollars she owes to the IRS.
With all the hoopla surrounding her, she took to her personal tumblr account and penned an open letter.
It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.
I’ve remained silent, after an extensive healing process. This has been a 10+ year battle, for a long time played out behind closed doors, but now in front of the public eye. This is an old conflict between art and commerce… free minds, and minds that are perhaps overly tethered to structure.
Actress Lauren London covers the new issue on Jet Magazine. Hitting newsstands on April 29, the 28 year-old spoke candidly about her relationship with Lil Wayne and all his baby mamas, as well as how determined she was in the beginning of her career.
On LIL WAYNE:
People like to make it into this big thing, but it’s really not. There’s peace and love and my son knows his siblings. We all get along. We all clearly keep getting along. I’m tired of talking about it. What else do you want me to say?
