No official word yet on where this track is from, but check out new music from Jamie Foxx and Gucci Mane! “Speak French” was produced by Bangladesh and is rumored to be the first single from an presently untitled new album, which is said to drop at the top of 2010. It seems like Jamie just released his latest album, Intuition, not too long ago, even though it dropped in ‘08.
Robin Thicke feat. Nicki Minaj - Shakin’ It For Daddy (radio rip) - listen
Check out the new track that Robin Thicke brought to the Ricky Smiley show, featuring Nicki Minaj. I must admit, I was a little surprised by the new direction that Robin is taking, but I completely understand throwing Nicki Minaj into the mix on this new track. His fourth studio album, Sex Therapy, will drop later this year. He is currently promoting his first single of the same title, and a video clip for the song will be out within the next couple of weeks.
Fans around the world waited Thursday (November 5th) for the video premiere of Beyonce’s latest single, “Video Phone,” co-starring Lady Gaga. The vidoe was to air after this year’s European Music Awards on MTV channels across the globe at 5:30 EST time, but no video was to be found.
After scoring three awards this year at MTV’s EMA’s, Sony Columbia released a statement, saying that the video will air at a later date this November.
Beyonce will RErelease her album, I Am… Sasha Fierce in a deluxe edition, which will feature five #1 hits and two bonus tracks which include, “Video Phone (Extended Remix),” featuring Lady Gaga on November 23rd. Also to drop that Monday, are Beyonce’s I Am… Yours, An Intimate Performance At Wynn Las Vegas, a concert performance DVD and Live CD that captures a never-before-seen performance from the starlet.
On that day, Gaga will also release The Fame Monster, which contains 8 new tracks, as well as the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced collaboration with Beyonce, “Telephone.”
Gucci Mane releases the video for his first single, “Spotlight,” featuring Usher.
The single comes from Gucci’s upcoming album, The State vs. Radric Davis, which hits stores December 8th. Usher, who is also gearing up to release his album, Raymond vs. Raymond, will drop on the the same day.
Pop diva Janet Jackson is releasing her forthcoming Number Ones compilation on November 17th and the following day, Janet will air an hour-long primetime special on ABC, November 18th.
It seems as though Janet’s team on her new label (her new studio album, due out next year, will be released via A&M/Interscope Records), which will be announced officially sometime this month is trying to make all the right moves for the next phase in Janet’s career. With a great performance at this year’s VMA’s, a new video for “Make Me Move,” the new single from the greatest hits compilation, to this upcoming new special, Janet is definitely on the right track.
We can expect a new album from Jackson next year, which Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins revealed will be an uptempo/dance record.
CHRIS BROWN MOVES UP GRAFFITI
After the success of his latest video and leaking of his album cover, it seems that Chris Brown and Jive Records are quite confident in the release of his third studio album, Graffiti, which was set for release December 15th.
In a day and age where most of the time, this is unheard of, Brown has decided that he will push his album up a week earlier. The new album from Chris will now hit stores December 8th.
Chris is presently promoting the single, “I Can Transform Ya,” but recently shot a video for his second single, “Crawl,” which will feature model/singer, Cassie.
Trey Songz joins Mariah Carey on the remix for her track, “Inseparable,” from her latest studio album, Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel, in stores now.
The new track comes from Mariah’s upcoming Memoirs features album, which will contain collaborations from R. Kelly, T-Pain, Big Boi, Gucci Mane and more. It’s been revealed by Tricky Stewart that 90% of the album will contain guest spots.
Rihanna premiered the Anthony Mandler-directed video for her bonus single, “Wait Your Turn (the Wait Is Ova)” on rihannanow.com today.
The track comes from her forthcoming fourth studio album, Rated R, which is set to hit stores November 23rd. The video for her first single, “Russian Roulette,” which is also directed by Anthony Mandler will drop on Friday, November 13th.
After her last album, Because I Love It… back in 2007, which didn’t see a United States release, Amerie is back with her fourth studio album, In Love & War, which hits stores today (November 3), on Island Def Jam Records.
In Love & War finds itself mimicking those same hard blaring, live horn percussive sounds from her days with producer Rich Harrison. However, the album boasts no collaborations from him. Even with it’s over the top, Ray Kay-directed music video, the first single, “♫ Why R U,” co-produced by The Buchanans, didn’t seem to grab attention of the fans.
In contrast, “♫ Heard ‘Em All,” the next single to follow, got a little more love from radio and in the clubs. The online blitz began when they put out a teaser video, and fans became a little more excited to see promotion on the label’s end for Amerie. But soon after, a 106 & Park guest spot, there was little-to-no promotion coming from her or her camp.
