You may remember that we posted new music from Janet Jackson not too long ago, but it seems that she isn’t going keep her fans waiting much longer.
The pop icon has recently made the announcement that her new single, titled “Nothing,”, will drop on March 30th.
The new track, said to be co-produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, is the first offering from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too motion picture soundtrack, which Janet also stars in.
Jermaine Dupri said: “you haven’t heard Janet sound like this in a long time and I think the song is perfect for the movie. It’s a really good record.”
The new Tyler Perry film will hit theaters April 2nd, while there is no official release date for the soundtrack set.
RIHANNA’S “RUDE BOY” HITS #1
Fans can finally revel in the delight of Rihanna achieving #1 status with her fourth single from her latest effort, Rated R.
It seems that her current single “Rude Boy” has hit #1, making it the first track from her latest album to achieve the highest chart success.
The chart-topping success marks Rihanna’s fifth #1 record, not to mention the huge success of “Live Your Life”, her track with T.I.
There are talks of a re release of Rated R and Rihanna has actively been talking about being back in the studio, while still promoting this latest album, so it’ll be interesting to see what single they push next. Their best bet would be to go with what may arguably be one of the largest records on the album, “Fire Bomb.”
Monica has been able to keep a lot of her music from her forthcoming studio album, Still Standing under wraps but this new track, “Mirror” was recently leaked.
The song was produced by Jim Jonsin and will appear on her upcoming album, Still Standing (in stores next week, March 23rd).
Jagged Edge - Still My Girl (full) - listen
Jagged Edge has been working on their new album, The Remedy, which is supposed to drop sometime this summer. “Still My Girl” is apparently from those sessions. I actually like this song, it sounds different from a lot of the material they have recorded over the years. The track has a different sound, which makes the boys sing a little differently than how I’m used to hearing them.
Lloyd feat. Mystikal - Set Me Free (full) - listen
Check out new music from close Concrete Loop friend and supporter, Lloyd. “Set Me Free” must be from the batch of new material that Lloyd has been working on for his new album. It’s been rumored that Lloyd will release his new album via Young Money, considering all the work that he has done with them for the past couple of years. The track was produced by Bangladesh. It’s a little different sound from him, he is usually very drum heavy, but the horn sample is an interesting twist.
Seems like Kim Porter, Al B. Sure! and Diddy’s eldest ‘child’ Quincy Brown, who has dubbed himself International Quincy is taking his stab at a musical career.

The dynamic duo of Lady Gaga and Beyonce join forces again for Gaga’s second single, “Telephone,” from what she considers her second album, The Fame Monster.
The two filmed the video a few of weeks ago in Los Angeles. The clip was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who directed Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” short film, and features a cameo from singer/model/actor, Tyrese Gibson.
