This isn’t the first time Brandy has recorded a track before someone else got a hold of it. Seems like The Dream may have originally intended for Jennifer Lopez’s “buzz” single, “Louboutins” to be on one of Brandy’s forthcoming projects.
Shortly after the release of J. Lo’s track, she was released from her contract, but is said to have inked a new deal with Def Jam, so we may hear her upcoming project, Love? after all.
Brandy is busy promoting her new reality show Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business, which airs April 11th on VH1, as well as working on her follow-up to 2008′s Human with Timbaland, and The Dream.
Check out new music from Concrete Loop supporter and Universal Motown signee Mika Means.
“Work That,” produced by Catalyst, is apparently the new single from Mika’s presently untitled upcoming debut project, and has been getting spins from a lot of club DJ’s and slated to impact radio next week.
In addition to giving us a new single, Means also gives a little bit more of a taste of what’s to come with the harder street anthem, “What’s My Name.”
Teairra Mari has gained some momentum from her current single, “Sponsor,” and so it seems as though we’re getting a couple more tidbits from her upcoming sophomore album, At That Point.
The new track, “From My Head to My Heart” is produced by Stargate, who have been responsible for producing many hits for the past few years. There is still no solid release date for the new album, however, with things picking up for Teairra Mari, that may change soon.
Check out new music from soul singer, Dwele. “What’s Not To Love” is the first single from his upcoming studio release, W.ants W.orld W.omen, a follow-up to his self-titled release last year, Dwele.
