Frank Ocean has certainly become a favorite among industry heads and cool kids alike, so it’s no surprise that the internet gets excited every time a new track leaks or drops. Check out the latest in Frank’s catalog, “Whip Appeal.”
No telling whether or not this is new or old, or whether it’s coming from his hotly anticipate debut album, but we haven’t even really heard any updates on whether or not Frank is still rereleasing the reboot of his street LP, Nostalgia/Ultra, dubbed NostalgiaLite to retailers anymore.
Nas is back with the second single from his tenth studio album, Life Is Good, which is due out this year. The new track, “The Don,” is co-produced by the late Heavy D, Salaam Remi and Da Internz. This will be Nas’ first album since 2008′s Untitled. The Don is set to hit stores this summer.
Rye Rye teams up with one of my personal favorites, songbird Esthero for a brand new single, “21 Jump Street,” from the original motion picture soundtrack for the film of the same title, which opens in theaters March 16th.
It’s been a long time coming for Teyana Taylor, but she finally releases her first full project, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor. An obvious inspiration from Lauryn’s Hill one and only classic album, The Miseduction…, Teyana’s EP features new and old material from a range of solid producers.
The project contains appearances from Hit-Boy, Jukebox, Charlie Bereal and Tone P, as well as cameo appearances from Wale, on the lead single, “Make Your Move,” Fabolous, Jadakiss and Honey Cocaine. Although Teyana isn’t situated on a major label anymore, she is already gearing up to work on her debut album.
