In honor of Black History Month, Washington, D.C.’s own Raheem DeVaughn pays tribute to black culture, its musical greats and historical figures in the official visuals for his latest record, “Last Call.”
With the help of Chicago’s very own Rhymefest, DeVaughn breaks down his Kenny Dope-produced song into two-parts and includes a slow-tempo which touches on the social and economic issues facing the black community. Also, Devaughn pays tribute to the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day.

This past weekend the historical DuSable Museum of African American History held their 14th Annual Black History Month Celebration in Chicago, Illinois.
Vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson (who is still rocking that pixie cut pretty well) donned a flattering, black jumpsuit and was the headlining act of the event. Among the songs she performed in her set, the 32 year-old American Idol alum sang “And I Am Telling You (I’m Not Going)” and her recent single, “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel).”

To kick off the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, actor Will Smith made a cameo and performed “Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing” with the late night talk show host.
Watch up top as Will & Jimmy dance some popular moves from The Wop to the Stanky Leg to Soulja Boy’s Crank Dat (Superman). But what about the Chicken Little Soup dance or the Harlem Shake? I digress.

Actress Meagan Good is going back to her television acting roots.
This time around the 32 year-old is taking on the role of in NBC’s upcoming zombie drama, Babylon Fields.
She’ll be playing Janine Beltran, a local doctor with an “edge,” who works in the town and eventually takes on these zombies:
In the drama, set in a place called Babylon, NY, the dead are coming back to life, as their bodies regenerate, and they grow stronger than the living, leading to the scary suggestions that they just might be the next step in human evolution. [Source]
Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson will be writing and executive producing with former Dexter director Michael Cuesta for the resurrected series. No word on whether the pilot has been filmed.

Following the Valentine’s Day premiere of About Last Night starring Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Joy Bryant, the romantic comedy took on the No. 2 spot on the weekend box office, raking in over $27 million.
Although it was a runner-up to animated The LEGO Movie, About Last Night was forecasted to hold that top spot throughout the holiday weekend and it did exactly that!

Tina on her interview with EBONY and what she has learned:

Two years after Think Like A Man‘s successful run in the box office, part two of the romantic comedy film based on Steve Harvey’s best-seller is getting ready to bring back the funny this summer.
Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy, Meagan Good and more return for Think Like a Man Too. This go ’round, the couples and friends take a trip to Sin City aka Las Vegas and have a bacherlors vs bacherlorettes war which lands them all in a bit of trouble.
With guest appearances by boxer Floyd Mayweather, Wendy Williams and more, Think Like A Man Too hits theaters June 20, 2014.
