Re: EVENTS: JAY-Z & BEYONCE CELEBRATE 10 YEARS OF THE ’40/40 CLUB’ (16 Comments)
Tiny and T.I. need to grow up already. These people are parents and not in their 20's. Both of these Atlanta hicks dress like ghetto children. T.I. looks like a dude who is wearing his first jacket after "career" training at high school. And Tiny looks like one of the OMG girls who didn't make the group. At least Jay-Z and Beyonce dress the like adults on the right occasions. Jay-Z and Beyonce compliment each other very well in these photos. If you're a boss dress like one.

@Shellbee You are MUCH smarter than this. Why would you even engage such a comment? It's the same thing as wanting to watch this uninteresting documentary. People who make comments like this are not "superior". When you felt the need to explain that you were "not dark skinned" you played right into "Cleopatra's" hands. Black people need to stop getting so "excited" or emotional because people express ridiculous views (be they black or white or other). We know that a lot of blacks hate themselves. When one "black" person reminds another of skin complexion that alone shows you that something is off in how they view themselves. It's almost like when an abused person then becomes an abuser. People who make stupid comments are looking for attention and it's better not to give them any.

@KOOP Color is not an issue. Bigotry is an issue but there are many ways to effectively deal with that. Self image is an issue with many but it's not something you can't improve upon. Do you really think Oprah allowed "color" to keep her static? HELL NO. There will always be a number of obstacles people will face but you can always over come them. Race is a mind game and judging from your response it's a mind game that you are losing. But Make sure you watch "DARK GIRLS"...I'm sure you'll feel so much..."better."

@Beatrice Durr AMEN! Oprah will never deal with any real issues. Oprah is not concerned with being the "Vanguard of Black Culture" she is much better suited to be an exploiter (along with Bravo and VH-1). People give Oprah a "pass" because they see her as a "strong successful Black woman" who's "made" it. The same thing goes for Tyler Perry. Blacks feel they have to support both people in spite of of the actual content they produce. I remember a while back that Oprah made this BIG deal about not allowing rappers on her show because of the misogyny they encouraged This resonated with the white women she was catering to while on ABC. She refused to allow Ludacris or 50 cent on because of her "strong Black woman" and feminist posturing. Since she got her "Own" network and it was struggling she was QUICK to invite on 50 Cent and hold a "MASTERS CLASS" with Jay-Z. LOL Oprah will do anything she has to to save her network and she does not care what she has to do. Oprah found some success with Tyler Perry so now expect to see more shows that cater to Black women who don't have much going on in their lives. That is exactly where this show "DARK GIRLS" came from. The same person who rushes home to see "The Haves and the Have nots" will eat this "DARK GIRLS" mombo jumbo up. It's the same Demo that BRAVO and VH-1 has been exploiting for cash (on the backs of the images of "sassy" Black females). Oprah much rather get that money than provide ORIGINAL programing or improve the lives of Black women through her programing.... Black women think this is empowerment TV?

    J. Cole wants to be on the cover of GQ like DRAKE. Sorry that's never going to happen.
