VIDEO: CHRIS BROWN’S INTERVIEW ON 20/20; SAYS RIHANNA CRIED WHEN SHE HEARD ONE OF HIS SONGS

Chris Brown sat down with Robin Roberts recently for a 20/20 segment that aired Friday night. The singer responded to some of the comments Rihanna made about him during her 20/20 interview last month and also continued to express his remorse about the incident.

The highlight of the video (if you consider this a highlight) was when Chris claimed that Riri lied when she said she hadn’t heard his song “Changed Man”. If you remember, during her interview she flat out said she never heard it. He insisted that she did and also added that she cried.

“She called when she first heard the song. And I mean, I’m not trying to say—call her any liar or anything like that. But I played the song for her when I first wrote it. And she cried.”

Even though the interview looks like it was cut off towards the end, it wasn’t. All they did was play some of Chris’ “Crawl” video. His new album, Graffiti is in stores next week..

TV BIT: RIHANNA’S FULL 20/20 INTERVIEW W/ DIANE SAWYER

The Rihanna and Diane Sawyer 20/20 Interview Special premiered on Friday night and let’s just say it was very candid. Rihanna spoke in detail about her side of the story and even opened up about her childhood past with domestic violence. View Part 1 above and Part 2 below.

On what she said happened that night:
“I caught him in a lie. And he wouldn’t tell the truth … I was being more annoyed at that point in our relationship he had to lie about something so stupid. I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it. And … it was ugly.

“I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face,” she said. “So there was no way of me getting home, except for, my next option was to get out of the car and walk. Start walking in a gown, in a bloody face. So I really don’t know what my plan was. I didn’t have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan.”

On getting back with Chris:
“I don’t have a desire at all to be with him,” she said… I can’t see how we … would get back together, but I’m also not God and I can’t predict the future.”

On whether or not she hates Chris Brown:
“I don’t hate him at all. I actually love and care about him and I’m concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up, and just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn.” [ READ MORE QUOTES ]

TV BIT: CHRIS BROWN’S INTERVIEW ON MTV + HIS NEW STATEMENT ABOUT RIHANNA’S 20/20 INTERVIEW

Hours before Rihanna’s highly anticipated interview with 20/20, Chris Brown’s MTV interview (which was taped Monday) premiered. The singer spoke with Sway and touched on how he is trying to move on but still struggles with what happened that night. View full interview above.

Chris also released another statement in response to Rihanna getting into detail about the incident on 20/20:

“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

‘ROUND THE WAY: RIHANNA OPENS UP IN GLAMOUR MAG – “I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears..”

Rihanna, who is currently on a media blitz this week, recently sat down for a candid interview with Glamour Magazine. She is being honored by the magazine next week in NYC and has been given the title of ‘Glamour Woman Of The Year’ alongside Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Serena Williams and others.

In the article, she opens up a bit about the aftermath of the Grammy night incident with former boyfriend Chris Brown. Read some key snippets below:

On the leaked photo of her battered face:
It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

On the aftermath:
It has taught me so much. I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?

My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.
