Teairra Mari is currently in the studio working on her anticipated sophomore album, At That Point which is going to be released this Spring.
The 21 year-old invited Concrete Loop to a recording session at Will Smith’s exclusive studio ‘The Boom Boom Room’ to listen to some of her latest songs and I must say the album is coming out nicely.
Her lead single, ‘Hunt 4 U’ featuring Pleasure P is moving up the charts and Teairra recently secured a lucrative deal with a top record company and plans on coming hard this year, after about 4 year hiatus.

Before I met him, I’ve thought that Kevin Michael was one of the most underrated male vocalists out now and if you weren’t familiar with his debut self-titled album (which dropped last year), then you’re surely going to familiarize yourself with Mr. Michael this time around.
He’s exclusively given CL a sneak preview of his first, all-digital mixtape, which will release in just a matter of time. Here’s what he had to say:
The whole idea for the mixtape was, if I can’t be on Billboard Hot 100 while I’m recording my new album, I’ll just make my own Billboard. The T.I. cover just made sense, he’s my label mate through Atlantic, he has two singles that are top 10 right now, it was a no brainer. I just want people to know I’m not dead and to introduce myself to those who don’t know KM.

I had a chance to kick it in the studio with Kanye West on Wednesday in California. He was putting the final touches on his latest album 808s & Heartbreak and allowed me to sit in for a couple of hours and observe. The vibe was really laid back and Kanye was playing his Super Nintendo (Super Mario World) and munching on Cap’n Crunch for the first half.
Don’t get it twisted though, the hard work came for sure when Kanye, Plain Pat, No ID and crew were finalizing the drums and sounds of the whole album and since I hit up his listening party/event on Tuesday night, he asked me what my favorite songs were. I’m definitely feeling the new track “Robocop” and told him that needed to be the next single.

Over the weekend, Clark Atlanta University celebrated Homecoming and singer/songwriter Keri Hilson and BET’s Dorion Standberry (of College Hill fame) dropped by to get students registered to vote. The event was also taped for Dorion’s upcoming BET special, What’s Happening with Dorion Standberry?
I attended and it was a lot of fun. Keri signed autographs while her new singles, “Return the Favor” and “Energy” played.
October 6th is the last day to register in Georgia (and many other States), so it was good they came through to get the support of Clark Atlanta University students and alumni for the cause!

Usher was in Milan, Italy on Thursday at a suit fitting with Fashion designers Dean and Dan of Dsquared2. Dean and Dan will be creating the suits for Usher’s upcoming “Ladies Only Tour.”
Yep, Usher got his swagger back. He is looking mighty fine in those suits.

I just shot the video for “Go Girl” and it was crazy! All My Go Girls, stand up! Melina directed it and of course Jamaica got busy on the choreography! I added a little two cents but Jam Session (Jamaica) laid it down on the steps.
