EVENT: ‘VH1 DIVAS’ PERFORMANCES & PICS + @FUNKYDINEVA’S SHOW REVIEW

So how many of you tuned in to VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul on Monday night? What were some of your favorite or funniest highlights? We’re not even gonna talk about the hilarious viewer comments during the performances on Twitter. LOL

Speaking of performance, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkon, Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu were among those to hit the stage. It was ummm very interesting to see their choice of artist/singer combinations.

EVENTS: ‘VH1 DIVAS CELEBRATE SOUL’ (RED CARPET ARRIVALS)

Women in soul music were celebrated on Sunday evening ( December 18 ) at the annual VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul event, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. This year soul music was celebrated according to the major cities of Philadelphia, Detroit, Memphis, Chicago and London, where the genre has thrived most.

A lot of music’s finest made an attendance and/or performed on stage such as Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Marsha Ambrosius, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J., Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Estelle, Florence + The Machine, Boyz II Men, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. A tribute performance was paid to the late Amy Winehouse as well.

CONCERT: TANK PERFORMS AT B.B.KINGS IN NYC + VIDEO

Singer-songwriter Tank performed at New York City’s B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on Wednesday evening (November 30). The R&B crooner gave an intimate performance in front a crowd of screaming ladies, singing fan favorites from his previous albums like One Man and Force of Nature.

The 23 year-old pop star recently performed her #1 single, “We Found Love” during her concert at London’s O2 Arena on Monday (November 14).
