Howard University’s homecoming took place this past weekend. One of the highlight events is Yardfest, where there’s a free concert on the main campus featuring some of the hottest entertainers.
This year Monica, LeToya Luckett, DJ Webstar feat. Young B, Baby Cham, and Trey Songz appeared on the yard infront of thousands of students and visitors. CL’s music contributor Brian and I were in attendance of course to bring you all exclusive photos from the stage and backstage.

The VH1 Hip Hop Honors went down last night (October 7th) in NYC. Hosted by Ice T, this year’s show will pay tribute to Wu-Tang Clan, Afrika Bambaataa, Russell Simmons, MC Lyte, Rakim, The Beastie Boys, Ice Cube, and Eazy E. Make sure you check it out, when it airs on October 17th at 9pm on VH1!!
