Glamour Magazine’s 2009 ‘Women of The Year’ Honors were held at Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 9th) in New York City.
Honorees included: Maya Angelou (awarded with the lifetime achievement), Serena Williams (tennis champion), Laura Ling and Euna Lee (American TV journalists who were arrested in North Korea), Susan Rice (the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations), Rihanna (honored for her stance on domestic violence) and more. Singer/performer Beyonce Knowles pictured above at a press conference in Athens, Greece on Sunday night. Her mother/stylist Tina Knowles is pictured below. Soon after the press conference she hit the stage at Olympic Indoor Hall and performed in front of a sold out crowd of 15,000.

Beyonce and Jay-Z hugged up backstage at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday night (November 5) in Berlin, Germany. As we reported to you yesterday, both took home awards and performed at the event.

Beyonce and Jay-Z hit up the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards held at the O2 Arena on Thursday night (November 5)in Berlin, Germany and both took home awards and performed at the event.
Beyonce walked away with three awards– Best Female, Best Song, (“Halo”) and Best Video, (“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” She also used the occasion to thank Jay for “putting a ring on it” (video here). Jay-Z, on the other hand took home an award for Best Urban Act. More photos & performance video below.
