Destiny’s Children are having another fashion face-off, and it yet again involves a pair of leopard print heels. Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé were both spotted out recently wearing Christian Louboutin (INFO HERE) leopard print ‘Daf Booty’ ankle boots.
Kelly rocked her heels in London, while on her way to work as a judge on X-Factor UK. She paired the six inch heeled booties with flared pants, a short coat, camel colored blouse, and a wide brimmed hat.
Bey was seen walking the streets of NYC in her leopard Louboutins, using the heels to add some visual excitement to an otherwise monochromatic look of black skinny jeans, black blouse, and black blazer.
The ladies are wearing very similarly styled looks, in addition to the identical pair of shoes, but there are differences. Kelly’s hat and flared pants give her outfit a vintage vibe, while Beyoncé’s has more of a modern feel.
Kanye West started something when he first wore Givenchy’s Fall 2011 ‘Rottweiler’ t-shirt back in March during Paris Fashion Week. Ye’s always at the forefront of fashion, so it’s no surprise to see other celebs rocking the same Givenchy gear months later.
In one week, both Rihanna and Usher were spotted wearing the ‘Rottweiler’ tee. Rihanna actually wore the sweater version of the piece while out at Whisky Mist night club in London. Days later, Usher donned the tee to host a Latin GRAMMY Awards after party at Haze Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Clearly this Givenchy tee is a hot item, so it often sells out as soon as it’s available for purchase online. Barneys has it for $265. If want it, get it quickly before it’s gone. Otherwise you’ll have to hit up Ebay.
Not as glamorous and celeb friendly as the MET Gala, or as notorious as the CFDA Awards, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards are probably the least familiar of the American fashion industry’s top award ceremonies.
About acknowledging and awarding emerging designers with long term potential, the night is more about the business end of fashion rather than the creative. But that doesn’t mean the star or style power was any less prominent.
A number of celebs were on hand to witness designer Joseph Altuzarra receive the night’s top award — $300,000.
Baller Carmelo Anthony and wife Lala, who was dressed in Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2011, were guests of designer Rachel Roy.
The designer wore an on trend fur vest, paired with a nude turtle-neck, and black floor length skirt.
Also accompanying a top fashion designer was actress Zoe Kravitz who attended with designer Alexander Wang, a past Fashion Fund award winner, and long time friend of Zoe.
Naturally, she wore a look from his Spring 2012 collection, a burgundy leather (it’s not just for the fellas) mini dress, paired with black pointy toe heels.
Other fashionably focused peeps who walked the event’s red carpet include models Joan Smalls in Altuzarra and Liya Kebede in Cushnie et Ochs, and designer Tracy Reese.
