Presidential candidate Barack Obama has been getting even more support from the fashion world - most recently during Paris’ Spring/Summer 09′ Fashion Week.

Designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac premiered a sequined dress with Obama’s face on the front, and the words “I have a dream today…” on the back. The dress, which was met with a round of applause by guests viewing the show, was accessorized with “yes” and “no” gloves.

Top American duo designers Rodarte created the second Obama jumper-dress, which premiered during Sonia Rykiel 40th Anniversary runway show. Glad to see so much Obama support during fashion week!

Tuesday, September 30, 2008 |

rihannalabel.gif While attending the Gucci runway show in Milan last week, Rihanna told WWD that she is working on her own fashion line. Surprise, surprise right?…

Rihanna has casually mentioned she’d like to design a clothing line. But at the Gucci show in Milan she confirmed she’s actually going to do it.

“I can’t say when it will be released, but it’s definitely going to happen,” she told WWD. “I’m not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time.”

Rihanna who is the latest spokesperson for Gucci , shot her first campaign with the brand over the summer and it is said to run in publications later this Fall season.

She has a little experience working with fashion - last year she released a line of umbrellas with Tote, and designed a shirt for H&M’s “Fashion Against AIDS” campaign. Would you cop Rihanna’s fashion line?

Sketch for Obama’s official clothing line by Tracy Reese (Wash. Post)

The list of participating designers, which includes Derek Lam, Isaac Mizrahi, Tracy Reese, Charles Nolan and Diane von Furstenberg, covers the full spectrum of the market, from high-end to inexpensive.

Other names have been bandied about but not confirmed: Beyoncé, Russell Simmons, Michael Bastian, Vera Wang. READ MORE

Wow, as if there weren’t enough Obama shirts to choose from, you know you have to get one from the official campaign itself. The clothing brand is expected to premiere during N.Y Fashion Week on September 9th…
