While President Barack Obama was busy doing Presidential things like addressing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Phoenix Awards, First Lady Michelle Obama was by his side looking as fabulous as ever in Michael Kors Fall 2010.
She donned a floor length black sequin fishtail skirt from the Kors collection, switching out the runway’s deep long sleeved v-neck top, for a quarter-length sleeved top with a high, round neckline. A Peter Soronen corset belt added even more interest to the look.
Not that the outfit needed any additional sparkle, Mrs. O wore a jeweled necklace, and added her signature accessory of stacks on stacks of bangle bracelets.
This outfit has to rate as up there as one of my all time fave Michelle Obama looks. It’s chic and timeless, yet it still has a bit of edge to it (well, about as much edge as a First Lady is allowed).

So I got a bunch of emails about what Beyonce was rocking during the Coachella Music Festival this past weekend and decided to put together a “What They Rock’d’ Post. A lot of people were also interested in Ciara’s t-shirt in the “U Got Me” video, Solange’s shades and Keri’s blazer. Peep the info below.
First up, Beyonce was spotted all ‘hipstered’ out this weekend when she performed onstage with her husband Rapper Jay-Z. She rock’d some (1.) Chanel Metal Front-Plated Boots and a (2.) Thomas Wylde ‘Nevermind’ T-Shirt – $650. Earlier that day she was spotting wearing a (3.) WildFox Couture Ice-Cream Crop Tank – $55 and some of those cut off shorts from (4.) True Religion -$172 that she loves so much. And for those of you who were wondering what type of shoes she rock’d in the airport on Monday, they are the (5.) Alexander McQueen Canvas fold-over boots – $1295. Baller!
Speaking of ballers, Ciara obviously isn’t scraped for cash because she dished out $615 bucks for this Ashish Slogan sequined silk top. She rock’d it in her highly publicized viral video “U Got Me”.

Though I don’t cover men’s fashion like I should here, I received lots of questions about this outfit Kanye West rocked while on the set of the Clipse’s ‘Kinda Like a Big Deal’ video in New York recently. I decided to spotlight this look this week with the items he rocked:
A. – Starting with Mr. West’s favorite pair of shades – Kanye wore the ‘Flat top’ sunglasses by RETROSUPERFUTURE ($132)
B. & C. – Then moving along to the two most asked questions on this outfit, Kanye wore a Rick Owens DRKSHDW black poplin jean jacket ($629) along with his black custom-made wooden Jesus pendant. A more price friendly alternative I found to his jacket was G Raw Denim’s “Mash Jacket” ($260)
D. – Kanye wore his very own Louis Vuitton ‘Jasper’ sneakers (retailed for $990) to complete the black’d out look which he showed off separately…
E. – On his wrist was his black Rolex Submariner, which he even features as 1 of his 10 fashion essentials on mens.style.com.
