TIME.COM just released their list of top 50 websites of 2008 and Concrete Loop made the list in the ‘Info & Gossip’ section. That’s wassup! Here is what they wrote:
You may not notice just how white celebrity-gossip sites like TMZ and Perez Hilton really are until you check out ConcreteLoop. Devoted to black celebrities, it regularly features A-listers like Rihanna, Usher, Denzel Washington and Alicia Keys. In addition to the usual paparazzi shots and rumors, you’ll find posts on fashion and politics, as well as tons of comments from ConcreteLoop’s audience of nearly a million regular readers. Keri Hilson finally premieres her first single on CL, from her debut album, In A Perfect World…, which hits stores September 23rd. “Energy” is a great crossover record, produced by The Runaways, who have done work for Natasha Bedingfield and many more. If you’re not positive about who Keri is, you may remember her from the smash hits, “The Way I Are” and “Scream,” from Timbaland’s latest project, Shock Value. She’s also responsible for countless hits like Omarion’s “Icebox,” and Britney Spears’ “Gimme More.”
Keri’s album will contain productions from Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Danjahandz, The Clutch, Cory Bold and more. I am so excited for Keri and so glad that she finally has a release date. Make sure you continue to check out CL for more exclusives from our girl Keri. “Energy” will be available on iTunes starting tomorrow.

I had the honor of meeting Kanye West on the Charlotte stop of his ‘Glow In The Dark’ tour last night. And let’s just say the concert was basically THE SHIT. Lupe Fiasco killed it! His live stage presence was no joke. He performed with some dope artists too, Nikki Jean being one of them so look out for an Artist Spotlight on her sometime soon. N.E.R.D. killed it (sorry if I’m using that word too much) but that is the only way to describe it. Pharrell got too much swagger and I wish they let us do video because he busted his ass, but he played it off good. lol. Little Miss Rihanna was aiight. Honestly, I wasn’t really feeling her performance. However, she did get the crowd moving when she spit some old reggae hits and of course “Umbrella”. Homegirl is really pretty in person though, like crazily. Oh and I talked to Chris Brown backstage, he was mad cool.
As for the hardest working man in show business? His performance was no joke. Imagine chilling on stage for 90 minutes, working through emotional and physical pain, only to make his performance the best I’ve ever seen live? I can’t even put into words how fantastic his show was. Honestly, the only way to understand what I would describe would be to actually go out and see it. True art, live on stage with no fillers. You know how some people use those stage props as a crutch to compensate for their lack of talent? Kanye used his stage as a stepping stone to catapult him to another level or should I say planet. This past weekend, Teyana Taylor was in town as a special guest performer for Atlanta’s BMI Unsigned Artist Showcase (photos here). We got up with her over the weekend to just get out and let people know about the album, From A Planet Called Harlem, which is due out May 20th. Teyana really let people have it the club - she hit the stage and danced to her first single, “Google Me,” produced by Jazze Pha.

Check out these new shots of Lauren London and Cassie for the new spring campaign for the Sean John Womens line. The campaign is entitled “Diddy’s Angels Go Supermodel” and was shot in NYC back in December. Jennifer Lopez’ hairstylist Oribe worked their hair, make up by JJ and they were styled by Mary J Blige’s stylist Marni Senofonte.
I’m actually digging the look of these ads, both ladies look gorgeous. You can’t even hate. Oh & you peeped them here first.
