Raz-B from the now de-funct B2K, recently talked to AOL BlackVoices about how life is after B2K.
“Transition is life. It was rough and shaky but it was worth it. I wouldn’t trade it for a zillion dollars. It taught me about working with people, taught me how important love was and loyal and how money is and all of that stuff. But I knew the Lord wanted me to walk through that transition to build my character and what not. Now I’m even stronger.”
Raz is also playing a gay character on ‘Noah’s Arc’ a show on Logo network, the cable channel geared toward the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
“There wasn’t any kissing or anything of that nature. It was a very, very positive role. It was to raise the awareness for kids with HIV and the kids who have AIDS. That’s our demographic. Fifty percent of those people are our people. I felt like it was a mature decision for me to play a gay character.”
Black Voices also reports that he is working on an ‘inspirational’ album, entitled, Raz-B: Revealer of Truths. (read more).
Musician Billy Preston died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Preston, known as the “5th Beatle” for his keyboard work on the band’s later songs, also worked with the Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Quincy Jones and Eric Clapton.
Preston won Grammy Awards for his solo hits “Nothing from Nothing” and “Outa Space.”

The writer/creator/mastermind behind ABC’S hit drama, Grey’s Anatomy, just inked a 3 year, 10 million dollar contract with Touchtone TV.
The 36-year-old former screenwriter is a valuable asset to the company as it moves the hot ABC medical drama from its successful Sunday, 10 p.m. timeslot to Thursdays at 9 p.m., where it will attempt to put a ratings dent in CBS’ “CSI.” Rhimes also has a new untitled drama on deck for Touchstone, a pilot for ABC about a group of female journalists. Miami-Dade Police are investigating the incident, which involved someone throwing a concrete landscaping block at the windshield of Campbell’s rental car.
The person, who got as far as Campbell’s driveway before throwing the block, shattered the windshield and left a note with biblical scriptures.
Racial slurs were handwritten on the note as well as a message that read: “you better sign or die.”
Despite his sexually-charged image as a solo artist and member of 2 Live Crew, Campbell said he has never been the victim of such a crime, not even when he resided in Liberty City.
“I’m from Liberty City and nobody ain’t never came to my house in Liberty City. I’m in the suburbs and…. it’s the first time,” Luke told CBS4. “For somebody to do something like that, it’s kind of disturbing. Whoever did it, I guess, is some kind of sick character. And I hope they don’t go too far. You the car first, go in the house next.”
