Queen Latifah has become the first hip-hop artist crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I think the reason I am here is to inspire African-American women who are rappers, full-figured women to know that they can do it, too,” Latifah, 35, said Wednesday at the unveiling of the sidewalk’s 2,298th star (read more). RONALD ISLEY FACES 26 YEARS IN PRISON FOR TAX EVASION..

A federal jury in Los Angeles convicted singer-songwriter Ronald Isley of five counts of tax evasion and one count of willful failure to file a tax return for concealing millions of dollars of income from the Internal Revenue Service. Isley, who has residences in Los Angeles and St. Louis, was convicted by a jury that deliberated for only three hours. Isley was a key member of the popular rock band The Isley Brothers, and had a career that spanned decades. During a three-week trial with almost 20 witnesses, federal prosecutors apparently proved to the jury that Isley received millions of dollars in cash and spent his money on a luxurious lifestyle. From 1997 through 2002, the evidence showed, Isley evaded the payment of more than $3 million in federal income taxes (read more). –That’s what his dumb-ass gets..–

LIL KIM COULD BE RELEASED BY JUNE..

While Kim’s official release date is August 2, 2006, James Leonard Jr. ESQ., a South Jersey based attorney who was recently hired by the rapper told AllHipHop.com that he expects the rapper to be freed from detention as early as late June. Kim will then be placed on house arrest until early August and will then be on three years supervised release. “That is something that we are aggressively working on right now,” said Leonard.
