R&B crooner Usher just released his last album, Here I Stand last year but is already ready to put on his sixth studio album. The first to leak of the material is the much anticipated, “Papers,” written and produced by Sean Garrett and Zaytoven.
The new album, tentatively titled Raymond vs. Raymond (it was originally announced that the new album would be titled Monster), is set to release December 8th, via LaFace/Jive Records. On the album, Usher is collaborating with Jermaine Dupri, Ester Dean, Jay-Z, Anthony Hamilton, Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine, just to name a few.
Very much different from Usher’s last effort, he’s told People Mag that the forthcoming album will be “racy, risky and edgy and sometimes about personal experiences.” And it’s no wonder, “Papers” was written months before Usher announced that he was filing for divorce.
