It has finally been confirmed after much speculation that Beyonce’s third solo effort will, indeed, drop on November 18th.
The as-yet-titled album is said to be Beyonce’s most personal, reflective album. Beyonce will release two new singles, “If I Were A Boy” (which a video is being shot for in New York this week), as well as “Single Ladies,” both schedule to impact radio October 7th.
It is also said that Beyonce claims co-writing and production credits on every song on the new project.
Make sure to check out Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Solange, Rihanna and more when they perform on the Fashion Rocks special. It premieres tonight (September 9) at 9pm EST on CBS.

Looks like there are some rumors of Destiny’s Child getting together for a reunion, even with Michelle’s album dropping in October, Beyonce’s album been released in November and Kelly releasing information about already recording and conceptualizing her third solo album. It was Kelly who dropped hints of the girls getting back together to perform and record a new album next year.
“We’re so looking forward to working with each again and we just need to find a time in our diaries when we can get into the studio together.”
I don’t know, I’m not ready for a Destiny’s Child reunion. If the girls all have albums coming out in the near future, it seems like they’ll be promoting it into the next year with new singles, etc. I would like for them to wait at least until 2010 to get back together and record an album. A performance at an award show would be nice, but I’m not ready for a new album.
CIARA TAPS T-PAIN FOR NEW SINGLE
After a lot of speculation about the new single, Ciara reveals exclusive to our friends Rap-Up.com that she will release the T-Pain assisted “Go Girl” for the first single from her upcoming third album, Fantasy Ride.
The new album has been said to be a concept album, where Ciara journeys through three different “cities.” Each “city” will have it’s own disk, where Ciara will experiment with different sounds, with 4 to 5 songs on each disk. “Groove City” will contain songs that feel like the first single from her last album, “Promise.” The next disks are “Crunktown” and “The Kingdom of Dance.” You can pretty much gather what those disks will feel like.
Ciara is working with Danjahandz, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Lil’ Jon, Polow Da Don and many others. I’m interested to see what this album sounds like, considering that I feel like The Evolution was a pretty strong effort for Ciara.
Fantasy Ride has been pushed back again, but is promised to be released to us in December. We’ll see, CiCi.

Fan favorite Brandy released her official first single last week, “Right Here (Departed),” (click here to listen) produced by long time friend and collaborator, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. And after the single dropped, it seems as though a slew of new information about Brandy’s new album, now officially titled Human has surfaced. The album also has an official release date of November 11th, and her single will officially impact radio September 16th, although it’s already getting spins all over the country.
Brandy also sat down to talk about the album. Here’s what she had to say:
“Human is my most personal album to date. I have grown so much since my last album. Being able to express myself and my journey through my music is a feeling I can’t describe. With this new chapter of my life it feels good to have Rodney, a familiar face, by my side again. He brings out emotions in me like nobody else.”
In addition to speaking about the album, some information about producers, writers and song titles has also surface. Brandy worked with British pop singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield, as well as other new songs such as “Long Distance,” “Torn Down” and “Piano Man.” On her fifth studio album, Brandy has also worked with Brian Kennedy, who was responsible for producing Rihanna’s fourth #1 single, “Disturbia,” RedOne, James Fauntleroy (producer of Jordin Sparks’s “No Air”), as well as The Clutch.

Keri Hilson’s debut album, In A Perfect World…, originally slated for September 23rd release has been pushed back. The debut from thei singer/songwriter is now October 7th. I have to admit, I’m a little disappointed, but everything happens for a reason. I’m sure Mosley Music Group/Zone 4 and Interscope just want everything right for the release of the project. I hope this doesn’t happen again, ’cause it’s been a long time coming for Keri.
RIHANNA SCORES #1 WITH “DISTURBIA”
Rihanna has snagged her fourth #1 spot on the Billboard chart with her pop/dance hit, “Disturbia.” Admittedly, I hated the song at first, but after the video, I got hooked. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the track jumped from #3 to #1 this week, surpassing boyfriend Chris Brown’s “Forever” which is still riding high, remaining at #2 for a second week on the charts.
I’m not hating, but it’s funny to me that 3 out of 4 of Rihanna’s #1 singles all came from her latest album, Good Girl Gone Bad, even after releasing two albums (Music of the Sun and A Girl Like Me) just a couple of years before. It really just goes to show that after this “image change,” people completely forgot about Rihanna’s dancehall/Reggae roots and really have clung to this trendy, pop image.
I really wish that Rihanna would have saved “Disturbia” for the first single from her fourth album. I think that sound and video would have been a really good way to reintroduce herself. She probably just couldn’t wait, so she dropped it on Reloaded.

As we reported, Keri Hilson is covering Trace Magazine’s annual “Black Girls Rule!” issue. Here are some of the photos from Keri’s shoot. She looks absolutely amazing.
Keri’s debut album, In A Perfect World… is set to release September 23rd. On the album, she’s working with Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Cory Bold, and her single “Energy,” is produced by The Runaways. From what I’ve heard, it’s a great project and I can’t wait for her. Make sure you support our girl Keri and show her some love.

MICHELLE SPEAKS ON ALBUM PUSH-BACK
Michelle Williams, former Destiny’s Child bandmate is speaking out about her album push-back. She doesn’t seem too pleased. But then again, why would she? She reference’s Solange’s song, “F*ck the Industry (Signed Sincerely),” so, yeah, that should tell you something. The singer’s third solo project, Unexpected, which is a departure from her other gospel projects, has been pushed back from an August 12th release to drop on October 9th.
This is very unfortunate, considering that a lot of the material from Unexpected has already leaked. Michelle has a pretty solid project to deliver, so I hope this doesn’t mess anything up with her.

Our good friends at Rap-Up.com have exclusively reported that rappers T.I. and Nelly are planning to work on a joint album. Although both artists have albums coming out this year (Nelly’s Brass Knuckles drops September 16th, while T.I.’s Paper Trail has just been pushed back to September 30th), Nelly, who appeared on the cover of this month’s issue of Rap-Up, disclosed some information.
“We talked about doing a joint together, a whole album,” the St. Louis rapper disclosed to the magazine. “It’s not about just selling records for me anymore ’cause I’ve done that. It’s about making something that people will remember.”
This won’t be the first time the pair has worked together. Nelly and T.I. previously collaborated on “Get Loose,” from T.I.’s third studio album, Urban Legend, as well as “Show It To Me,” on 2007’s T.I. vs. T.I.P.
