♫ Ciara - Don’t Remember (full) - listen
This is a very interesting song from Ciara, taken from her Fantasy Ride sessions. There are so many songs about drinks out nowadays, but this is really a different perspective. As far as I can tell, that’s Ne-Yo on the background vocals, and he’s responsible for some of the writing. I actually am really digging this song. It seems as though Fantasy Ride is shaping up to be a pretty solid project from the new material that’s been surfacing. Vocally, I like what Ciara is doing towards the end of this song too. Nice work.

♫ Bobby Valentino - Butterfly Tattoo (full) - listen
Check out this new track from Bobby Valentino’s new album, Rebirth. The track is produced by Los Da Maestro, who is largely responsible for production on The Dream’s last album, Love/Hate, as well as the hugely popular first single from J. Holiday’s “Bed.” The production on the song is solid — even the vocal arrangement, and whoever vocal produced Bobby V. on the track did an amazing job, but haven’t we heard about butterfly tattoos from Bobby Valentino already. Just wondering.

♫ Rihanna - How I Like It (full) - listen
Here’s some new music from Rihanna. Vocally, I’m not really impressed, but I actually am a little intrigued by the melody of the song, it wasn’t what I expected when the song first came on. The hook isn’t really my favorite, but I get more into the verses. Even though Rihanna is supposed to re-rereleasing Good Girl Gone Bad as a remix album, I am more interested in this edgier material that she’s supposed to be recording for the fourth album. She needs to just take it completely pop this time around.

♫ Justin Timberlake - Bigger Than the World (full) - listen
Justin Timberlake is at work at his third solo studio album, the follow-up to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed FutureSex/LoveSounds. I’m glad to see that Justin is working with Timbaland again, because their chemistry is undeniable. Even though “Bigger Than the World” isn’t really the best, I am hopeful that this project will turn out as success. I’m hoping that Justin will work with Pharrell again, considering that they had some amazing material on his debut album, Justified.

♫ 50 Cent - Play This On the Radio (full) - listen
Check out this new track that G-Unit has been sending all over the net from 50 Cent entitled “Play This On the Radio,” which they claim 50 is coming hard on. This is coming from 50’s forthcoming project, Before I Self Destruct, and self destruct he did on this track. Typical, mad and angry 50 Cent. Honestly, I got a little offended myself listening to this track, but you know, to each his own. I guess he’s trying to generate some more hype considering that these two singles that he’s put out haven’t really done… much of anything.

♫ Kat DeLuna feat. Lil’ Wayne - Unstoppable (full) - listen
I never was a fan of Kat DeLuna, but I think this guitar-driven song is really an interesting direction they’re deciding to take with her, especially since she was sort of a dancehall artist before (she was made popular by her single, “Whine Up”). The track features Lil’ Wayne, and you know nowadays in the industry, people think that if you throw him a track, it’s bound to save it. I wish that Kat would show more of her vocal ability on her music, though, considering that she is a classically trained opera singer.

♫ Ciara feat. Chris Brown - Turn Me On (snippet) - listen
Even though this is just a snippet, this is the type of dance music that I was expecting for Ciara to give me this time around. Like I said, there have been some good songs that I’ve heard come from these Fantasy Ride sessions. I knew a collaboration between these two wasn’t far away, considering that show that they gave us for the BET Awards. In any event, I’m eager to hear some more of the new material Ciara’s got under her sleeve, considering so much has leaked.

♫ Lil’ Wayne feat. Pharrell Williams - Yes (full) - listen
Check out this new Lil’ Wayne track, produced by Pharrell Williams, of The Neptunes. I actually really think the beat is pretty funky, and according to our friends at Rap-Up.com, the track only took Pharrell 3 minutes to produce. I’m not surprised. I’m not sure what this track is coming form, considering that Weezy just dropped a mixtape and his currently on his I Am Music tour with T-Pain, Keyshia Cole and Keri Hilson.

♫ 50 Cent - Get It In (full) - listen
Check out 50 Cent’s second single from his new album, Before I Self Destruct, which has had a couple of problems as far as release. The new song is produced by Dr. Dre, who 50 has garnered plenty of success with. I was a little confused, because “Get It In” is so close to the title of the first single, “Get Up,” which we posted back in October. The new single isn’t anything really to write home about, but I guess it’ll serve it’s purpose.

♫ Teairra Mari - Holla (full) - listen
I’m super excited about Teairra Mari’s new project, actually. This is exactly the direction that I think she should be taking with her music. Even though it’s quite different from the more urban songs that she recorded for her 2005 debut, I think that this music suits Mari vocally. I can’t wait until her new video for “Hunt 4 U” drops and when there’s some more official information about the album.

♫ Teairra Mari feat. Pleasure P. - Hunt 4 U (full) - listen
We posted about new Teairra Mari material a couple weeks ago, but here’s a new track from her upcoming album entitled “Hunt 4 U.” Even though I haven’t really been digging the way his label has tried to promote him (with all the fake candid photos, etc.), I am actually digging this song for Teairra. Musically, it’s different from what she was doing on the first album, but I actually think the sound is a lot more mature for her. It’s got that pop potential that she needs to be relevant in music today.

♫ Mims feat. LeToya Luckett - Love Rollercoaster (full) - listen
“This Is Why I’m Hot” rapper Mims is doing his best to make a splash back onto the scene with former Destiny’s Child bandmate, LeToya Luckett, who is also working on a new album to drop sometime in ‘09. Of course, I thought Mims was going to be a one-hit wonder, but it looks as though they labelmates have come together with this new track to begin the promo trail for his new album, which will drop sometime next year. Although it’s not really my cup of tea, I can definitely see this song getting spins. It’s a pretty radio-friendly track. Hopefully it will garner Luckett some buzz too for her new single.

♫ Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain - Blame It (full) - listen
Jamie Foxx’s album (which drops next week), has leaked in its entirety and it seems as though fans are digging this new song, “Blame It,” featuring none other than T-Pain. Admittedly, I’m not really impressed. Jamie Foxx sounds amazing without the auto-tune, so I’m a little disappointed that he jumped on that band wagon and dumbed his voice down for this. It’s times on this song when I can’t even tell the different between his voice and T-Pain’s.

♫ Brandy - Drum Life (full) - listen
The final version of Brandy’s “Drum Life” leaked and it sounds absolutely beautiful. I can’t understand why Brandy left all these Timbaland tracks off the album. Although it doesn’t really fit in with the overall theme of Human, the song just feels so good to me. From the vocal arrangement, to the pulse of the song, to the beat, it’s just an amazing record to me. Since it leaked, I haven’t stopped playing it. Great job, Brandy and Tim. I can see why she’d want him to help executive produce the next album.
