THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

Mika Means feat. Lil’ Wayne – Everybody Know Me (full) – listen
We originally got the exclusive on Mika Means’ first single, “Everybody Know Me,” but a new version has surfaced from the Motown/Universal signee. The track is produced by Myko and will appear on Mika’s debut album, which is slated to hit stores sometime this summer.

Keri Hilson feat. Ne-Yo – Ready To Fall (full) – listen
Here’s the full quality version of a previously unreleased track featuring Ne-Yo, that was originally recorded from Keri Hilson’s debut album, In A Perfect World… The track leaked some time ago, in not-so high quality, with a DJ shouting all over it. “Ready To Fall” was produced by Polow Da Don.

Omarion feat. Tank – On My Grind (full) – listen
Omarion released his third studio album, Ollusion just yesterday. Here’s a bonus track from the album, featuring one of my favorite male vocalists, Tank. The track was produced by 253, who produced most of the tracks on Omarion’s latest effort. He is currently promoting his third single, “Speedin’.”

Rich Boy – Go Crazy (full) – listen / So Look Good (full) – listen
Zone 4 signee Rich Boy is working on his sophomore album, Buried Alive, which is set to drop later on this year. Here are two new tracks produced by Jim Jonsin for the upcoming project.

THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

Usher – Stay Down (full) – listen
Usher material has been leaking left and right since his “buzz single,” “Papers” released a little while back. His sixth studio album, Raymond vs. Raymond, was originally slated to drop at the end of the year, but has moved back to March 1st, 2010, which may be for the best, considering all the leaks from Bangladesh and RedOne from these sessions. “Stay Down” was tagged as being produced by Nate “Danjahandz” Hill, but it’s also rumored that this track may be from his Here I Stand sessions.

Tiffany Evans – What’s Your Name (full) – listen
Tiffany was originally supposed to release her sophomore album, originally titled Ponytail Krush sometime this year, but a single never was presented to the masses. But it seems as though Tiffany has retooled the album, now titling it Ms. Tiffany, with a release sometime in 2010. Check out “What’s Your Name,” produced by Hit Boy for Surf Club, and written by newcomer, Siiren. I actually really like this song, it sounds like a great album opener.

EVENT PICS: JAY-Z ATTENDS “FELA!” OPENING NIGHT IN NYC

Media Mogul Jay-Z attends the opening night party for "Fela!" on Broadway at Gotham Hall on Monday (November 23) in New York City.

Jay-Z actually teamed up with Will & Jada Pinkett Smith (who didn’t show up to the opening night) by joining the producing team of the play. The Broadway musical is based on the life and music of African composer and performer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti (who we have done a Black History Spotlight on in the past).
