Solange has been in and out of the studio, while still doing performances all over the world, working on her currently untitled third studio album.
When asked about the direction of the third album, Solange said that the new record will pick up where “This Bird” left off, experimenting with more electronic and down-beat elements. There presently is no release date for the album, but it’s good to hear some of the fruits of Solo’s labor.
It’s doubtful that the new track, “Stillness Is the Move,” a cover of the Dirty Projectors, which sample’s Dr. Dre’s “Xxplosive” (originally sampling Soul Mann & The Brothers’ “Bumpy’s Lament”), will make the album.

After much anticipation about the release of the song after the announcement of the top secret video, Beyonce and Lady Gaga finally give us the audio before the visual of their “Video Phone” remix.
“Video Phone” was taken from Beyonce’s third studio album, I Am… Sasha Fierce and was produced by Bangladesh and co-penned with Sean Garrett. It’s rumored that the video, which was supposed drop originally on the 5th, will follow on November 23rd.
Bey also joins Gaga on a track from the rerelease of her debut album, The Fame Monster on the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced “Telephone,” which will hit stores November 23rd, along with Beyonce’s I Am… Yours tour DVD and the deluxe edition of I Am… Sasha Fierce.
Remember Craig David? The English R&B singer/songwriter has signed a new record deal with Universal and is in the studio working on his upcoming fifth album to be released some time next year.
“Cool With You”, an up-tempo Middle Eastern-influenced track, is said to be from those recording sessions. What do you think about it?
After a brief hiatus from the music scene, since his last album, Brass Knucles, back in 2008, Nelly is back with new music from his upcoming sixth studio album, the self-titled, Nelly.
The new track, “She Got Me” is a sexy ’80’s-sampled pop synth rap track produced by J.R. Rotem. It is rumored to be the rough version of Nelly’s first single from the album, which has confirmed to contain features from Janet Jackson, Diddy, Akon, Notorious B.I.G., the St. Lunatics and Usher.
Nelly has been set for release in the first music quarter of 2010.
Check out this new up-tempo track from JoJo titled “Back Words”, possibly from her upcoming album, All I Want Is Everything.
As we mentioned last month, Blackground Records will be releasing All I Want Is Everything through a distribution deal with Interscope tentatively scheduled for January 2010.
