A while back, we announced that Alicia Keys would be teaming up with Jack White of the White Stripes for the theme to the new James Bond film, Quantum of the Solace, after rumors of everyone from Amy Winehouse to Beyonce recording it at first. Well, finally, here’s the track from the upcoming film, which hits theaters everywhere November 14th, starring Daniel Craig.
I always love Bond themes, so this is a great record to me. I really like the darkness of it, and the way their voices clash – it just works for the song, the guitar, the production, everything. But how do you guys think the track will compare to the other James Bond themes?
Our boys T.I. and Justin Timberlake have collaborated before on the track, on Justin’s last album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, with the fan favorite “My Love.” I guess the two decided to come together for T.I.’s latest forthcoming LP, Paper Trail.
I think this could still be a big song for the both of them. It sounds like it’s either produced by Timbaland or Danja, and it seems to have single potential. T.I.’s new album, Paper Trail hits stores September 30th, but until then, we’ve gotta know what you think…

I was surprised that more material from Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled debut album, but finally here’s a taste of what we’ve been waiting for. “Pocketbook” is supposedly the follow-up single to Hudson’s “Spotlight.” I am glad to hear this from her, considering that it’s really a change from anything else I’ve heard from her. The song is produced by Timbaland, with some contributions from Jim Beanz, who is largely responsible for background vocals on Britney Spears’s Blackout. That’s definitely Candice Nelson of the Clutch on those background vocals to.
So, what do you think? You know we have to ask that age old question…

Kanye West closed this year’s MTV VMA’s with his new single from his upcoming album, the follow-up to 2007′s critically acclaimed, Graduation. The new single, “Love Lockdown” find Kanye West singing with auto-tune, a la T-Pain, with a simple drum kit and piano. I loved the energy of the song on the awards, and I love the organic feel of the studio version.
Although Kanye is a bit pitchy at times with his singing, I think that’s what makes the song. I almost wish that he’d taken it a step further and left the effects off of the vocal. I love what this sounds like though. I think the new album will be dope.
According to Amazon, Kanye’s new album is entitled 808′s & Heartbreak and is set for a December release.
