While being on the promo trail for her new album, Human, due out December 9th, Brandy has released a second single, “Long Distance,” the follow-up to the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced “Right Here (Departed).” In addition to her second single, she will appear on the third single from John Legend’s new album, “Quickly.”
Here are two new tracks from Brandy: “Torn Down,” produced by Midi Mafia (they are also responsible for “Quickly”), which is one of the more uptempo songs which will appear on Human, as well as as the bonus track, “Gonna Find My Love.” Both of these songs are pretty good. I’m a little disappointed that Brandy isn’t including “Gonna Find My Love” on the album, because so far, it seems as though the tempo of Human will be pretty mid-to-slow.

We reported just a little while ago that songstress Toni Braxton inked a new deal with Atlantic Records and will be working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for her new album. The as yet untitled album is due out sometime around April 2009. Here is a track entitled “Melt.”
I don’t think this has been confirmed as a new single, just something to show that Toni is still around and working. I’m glad it sounds mature, because I was hoping that Toni wasn’t going to come back and jump on a trend that’s in music.

We’re only a couple of weeks away from the release of the new Kanye West album, 808’s & Heartbreaks (due out November 24th now) and we have another new song for you. Unmixed and unmastered material has leaked and Kanye has already released two videos from the set. The latest of the leaks is the new Young Jeezy-assisted “Amazin’.” I really love the simplicity of the song.
Also, since Kanye has tried his hand at singing on this new album, I really am interested to know if he’s the one behind the background vocals on the album. Is it Kanye? In any event, it wouldn’t be a party of Young Jeezy wasn’t invited. So you know we have to ask you guys that age-old question…

Beyonce’s new album, I Am… Sasha Fierce hits stores November 18th, but the album has found it’s way to the internet, minus a couple of tracks that are being saved for the deluxe edition. Included in these tracks was the second single from the singer’s forthcoming third solo studio album, “Ego.”
Although the album version doesn’t include Kanye West, we learned that the single remix version will feature a verse from Kanye. The track was produced and written by Elvis “BlacElvis” Williams and Harold Lilly, with credits from Beyonce as well. When the song first comes on, I’m not sure where it’s going - but it begins to pick up during the hook. This will be a good follow-up single to “Single Ladies,” as “Halo” will be for “If I Were A Boy.”

You may remember this girl from an artist spotlight that we did on her last year. But now M$ney is back on the scene with a new single she premiered on her MySpace page entitled “Future,” which is supposedly written by our good friends at The Clutch.
I’ve always been intrigued by this girl, ever since she debuted on Timbaland’s last album, Shock Value on the Walter Milsap-produced “Fantasy.” It seems that M$ney is gearing up to put the finishing touches on her debut album and much of it will have these pop synth dance sound. So what do you think of the new track from M$ney?
Check out M$ney on MySpace and make sure you show her some CL love!

Is Kelly Rowland about to put together a new album? After the disappointing sales of her sophomore effort, 2007’s flash in the pan Ms. Kelly, Rowland hightailed it overseas and gave interviews where she revealed that she was working on a third album.
Although I’m not mad at the song, I’m hoping that “Blaze” is something from the sessions Kelly held for Ms. Kelly because she can’t keep giving us this same sound, if she wants to remain relevant in the United States. So what do you think?
Check out Kelly’s MySpace and always remember to keep it locked on CL.
