We introduced you to Trevanté last year and the budding teenage heart-throb is back with the official song, “Be Your First”. The ATL native is no rookie to the music game, he’s been singing professionally since he was 11 and even shared the stage with other young stars including, Bow Wow, B5, and Keke Palmer.
He is still finalizing his debut album, I Am Trevanté, due later this year through Imani Entertainment Group/Interscope Records. Keep on the lookout for the official video being released soon.
Singing sensation Kevin Michael is back with his brand new street album, LISA, which he debuted via his Tumblr and Twitter. The 13 track free album features all new original material from the former Downtown Records signee.
Not typical of most the music being put it out, LISA is a great mix of old and new, merging the two sounds in harmony. Adding elements of old school R&B, pop and house isn’t always an easy task, however, this body of work has an undeniable cohesiveness.
The rapper/actor formerly known as Mos Def, Yasiin Bey, offers up his take on The Throne’s hit single “Niggas in Paris” as the first contribution to his Top 40 Underdog series on which he’ll rework Top 40 hits. Let us know how much you’re feeling it.
With the anticipated debut of Steve Harvey’s film less than two months away, Funk Master Flex and DJ Relly Rell hit the airwaves with “Think Like A Man,” a song off of the movie’s official soundtrack. The track features the vocal talents of singers Jennifer Hudson & Ne-Yo, with Rick Ross lending a few bars in the mix. Think Like A Man hits movie theaters March 9, 2012!
