Check out B.o.B.’s second single, “Play the Guitar,” from his forthcoming sophomore studio album, Strange Clouds. The track is produced by Salaam Remi and features none other than fan-favorite, André 3000, who has been making many cameos on records, but hasn’t appeared in any videos.
Fans have drawn comparisons so it only makes sense that thew two collaborate together. Strange Clouds is set to hit stores March of next year.
Singer-songwriter Bei Maejor dropped a new track entitled “The Truth,” a song about a man finally coming clean about messing around with his friend’s girlfriend and getting her pregnant. I love how the main character says that she tried to come between their brotherly relationship. I see how he’s trying to be slick by placing more of the blame on her. Umm it takes two to tango…Hello! LOL Anyway let me not go on my rant…check out the track!
Rumor has it that the delays with the retail release of Frank Ocean’s street album, Nostalgia/Ultra, titled Nostalgia,Lite come from the inability to get samples cleared. However, it seems as though the team has found their way of getting the ball rolling on their own.
Earlier this year, an unmixed version of this new track, “Girlfriend’s Best Friend” leaked. Although this is a little more R&B than the other material we’ve heard from Ocean, this is being dubbed a “first single.” Not sure whether this is for an album, or an addition to the rerelease, but it’ll be interesting to see what comes next for Frank with all of the attention he’s gathered.
The Weeknd finally releases his third installment in his trilogy of mixtapes. Echoes of Silence dropped just yesterday, and already has the Twitterverse going nuts with his cover of the Michael Jackson classic, “Dirty Diana.”
Although the 9-track set is the last of the Balloons trilogy, proceeded by Thursday and House of Balloons, be on the look out for more music from The Weeknd, considering that is rumored that he has tapped some industry heavyweights for his debut studio album.
