The new single is lifted from Monica’s sixth studio album, titled New Life, which will be executive produced by Polow Da Don and have contributions from producers like Bryan-Michael Cox and Oak. Look for Monica’s release some time this fall.

With her album 4 leaking three weeks before its official release date, Beyonce still came out on top in 1st week album sales! According to HitsDailyDouble.com, “King B” finished her 7 day album sale run with 313, 420 units, making it the least amount of album sales out of all her solo studio albums! On a brighter note, the 29 year-old diva surpassed her labelmate Adele, who sold over 90,000 copies of her album 21. Congratulatoins to her!
Kanye West & Jay-Z have joined forced on their first studio album collaboration, Watch the Throne. The album became available for pre-order in 4 different versions over the weekend. It is said that album will feature guest vocals by Bruno Mars and Beyonce on their track “Lift Off”.According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Murder To Excellence,” “Illest Motherf—er Alive” and “Living So Italian” are some song titles from their upcoming album. Although rumors were saying that the album would be released on the fourth of July, the official album release date has yet to be announced. Fresh off the theatrical stage, Michelle Williams has been working hard in the studio on her new project, still untitled at the moment. Michelle is following up her #1 Dance album, Unexpected with the buzz single “Love Gun,” produced by Druski.
When asked about the sound of her new album, Michelle says:
“My album will be ‘inspirational pop.’ Think of Katy Perry’s ‘Fireworks’ or Natasha Beddingfeld’s ‘Unwritten.’ I want to give people a message of hope while at the same time get them moving with dance inspired tracks.”
Michelle is currently working with Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, with whom she worked with on Unexpected. Michelle’s album is slated to drop this winter with an official single release in August/September.
