Philadelphia singer/songwriter Marcus White has been performing since the age of 3, and now he’s gearing up for the release of his independent debut album. His influences vary from R&B crooner Eric Benet to alt. metal rock band Evanescence, but he says he aims to emotionally captivate listeners in a way very few are capable of.

“For me, it’s all about my connection to the song and the listener. My aim is to leave them feeling more than they imagined. If I can reach a few souls through my music, then my mission will have been completed.“

Sean “Diddy” Combs sat down with Concrete Loop’s Angel Laws via an iChat interview on Tuesday night to discuss the upcoming ‘Coming Home’ tour with Dawn Richard & Kalenna Harper of Dirty Money, his new acting gig and more! After some technical difficulties in the beginning of the video flows rather smoothly.

The media mogul is currently in Hawaii gearing up for an appearance on popular television series, Hawaii Five-O, where he is playing a government agent! Check out some snippets from the exclusive sit down below.

On Dawn & Kaleena getting solo music:
Both of them will have solo projects. I kinda encourage all my groups to get on their grind and their hustle. This whole project is a stepping stone for the both of them. Vocally, they are definitely two of the best vocalists I’ve ever worked with.

On Navy Seal training:
You know there is nothing worse than seeing us in films and we holding out the gun like Taye Diggs. You know that’s real fly for Menace II Society or if that’s what you’re portraying but I’m playing an FBI agent. So I wanted to make sure I technically looked right, so I went to Navy Seal training today at the range and just trying to get everything down pact.

On the upcoming tour:
Last Train To Paris has a cult following and we wanted to really connect with those fans first. And another thing it’s about coming home. So it’s about taking it down to the basics and letting people feel you; up close and personally.

NEW MUSIC: MIGUEL – “ME, OH ME, OH MY”

R&B crooner Miguel recently released his debut album, All I Want Is You via Jive Records. But Miguel has been around a long time and no stranger to the studio. This new track, “Me, Oh Me, Oh My” surely isn’t an outtake from the album, which is in stores now. Instead, it’s probably one of the many tracks that Miguel, who is also an accomplished songwriter, penned for artists like Usher and Mary J. Blige.

MUSIC NEWS: KELLY ROWLAND + NEW SINGLE / FOXY BROWN TO MAKE A COME BACK? / NICKI MINAJ + NEW SINGLE / KID CUDI INFO

After several singles and delays, it seems as though the team is pulling it together for Kelly Rowland’s third solo album, which still doesn’t have a title yet.

Even though the album is still currently untitled, she has announced that she will be dropping a new single, “Motivation,” featuring Lil’ Wayne. There was a bit of confusion that Kelly had to clear up:

“In the middle of having dinner at the Bvlgari Hotel in Milan Kelly Rowland has personally confirmed to OMKelly.com, her official fansite, that her new album will not be entitled Motivation,” says the source. “The album title will be revealed on both her official website KellyRowland.com and OMKelly.com in the near future.”

The new track, produced by Jim Jonsin and written by Rico Love, is said to be a mix of dance, hip hop and R&B, will be available soon, still with no release date for the new album.

FOXY BROWN ANNOUNCES DOUBLE ALBUM?

Foxy Brown has announced that she will be dropping another album. It’s been since 2008 since Foxy released her last album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva, but she’s announced that we can expect an album in September of this year, called Black Roses.

And you’re prepping new music yourself, right?
The new album! Black Roses. I’m in the studio every night, slaving. It’s going to be the first double CD from any female rapper in history, so it’s going to be really big. One side is going to be straight hip-hop and hardcore records, and a couple big radio joints, and then the other side is dancehall rock… I personally want it to drop around August or September. Seems like the rap girls are trying to get their game back up since Nicki Minaj has come on the scene. I guess fans are excited since Foxy’s Christmas Massacre mixtape.

NICKI MINAJ LINES UP A NEW SINGLE

Still riding off the success of her debut album, Pink Friday and her current single, “Moment 4 Life,” Nicki Minaj is prepping to release a new single from the album.

Nicki has chosen the Bangladesh-produced track “Did It On ‘Em” for the next single.
