It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Musiq Soulchild, but he’s back with a brand new track produced by and featuring Swizz Beatz. He hasn’t dropped any material since 2008′s OnMyRadio, but the rumor mill is buzzing that Musiq is dropping another album this spring.
Kanye West took to his Twitter page and to let fans know that he has tons in store for 2011. He announced that in one week, he will drop the video for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’s latest single, “All of the Lights” next week.
In addition to continuing to promote the new album, Kanye says that the joint project with mentor and label head Jay-Z, Watch the Throne, will hit stores in just two months. Not surprising, considering that West revealed their new single, “H.A.M.” a little over a week ago.
Not only does West plan to drop the joint album, he also exclaimed that he will release a sixth studio album this summer, just months after the release of Watch the Throne. Seems as though West plans on having a busy year. Fresh off the heels of the release of Twisted Fantasy, and two other projects to come out this year, one wonders if West will embark on another tour, after the canceling of the highly anticipated FAME KILLS tour with Lady Gaga.
Raphael Saadiq releases the second single from his upcoming fifth album, Stone Rollin’. The track “Good Man” is the follow-up to his first single, “Radio.” The new album is slated to hit stores March 22nd.
Check out newcomer Mara Hruby and her rendition of the classic Bob Marley song, “Is This Love?” in this dope video shot in NYC. The single, which was featured on the Oakland based singer’s EP ‘From Her Eyes’ is becoming increasingly popular in the bay area.
Check out our poll below to give your feedback on whether or not this cover is deserving of so much praise. I personally think it’s pretty dope in it’s own right.
Shout out to Director Slick Jackson for always holding it down.
