Meet rising jazz star Kenneth Whalum, III. While currently making a splash on the New York jazz circuit, Kenneth is clearly no stranger to music or its business. He attributes a great deal of his musical ability to his uncle, 8-time GRAMMY nominated saxophonist and recording artist, Kirk Whalum. He also cites his great uncle Hugh “Peanuts” Whalum, who has played with the legendary Lionel Hampton and Miles Davis, as a major contributor to his development.
As a brilliant composer, arranger, bandleader, and tenor saxophonist, Whalum is excited to release his highly anticipated album, To Those Who Believe. He’s been working quite hard on making sure that the project is right and ready for release on iTunes next week, December 21st.
It looks like Kanye West has been busy in the music lab, cooking up more singles for our ears’ delight. Earlier today, a new song, “Christmas In Harlem” started making moves through the web in time for the holiday. Check out the track featuring Teyana TaylorCyHi Da Prince.
On Wednesday (December 15), Kanye excitedly tweeted about another version of the song that will feature more artists:
Jamie Foxx returns with his fourth album Best Night of My Life, which includes the latest single, “Fall for Your Type” featuring Drake, and a host of other collaborations including T.I. and Justin Timberlake on “Winner”, which we first mentioned last year, Ludacris and Soulja Boy on “Yep Dat’s Me”, which will be released as the album’s next single on Friday.
