Rose Rock (mother of Chris Rock) says she sat without service for nearly an hour at a South Carolina Cracker Barrel restaurant, claiming the poor service was because she’s black.
Well I live in North Carolina, so I been to my share of Cracker Barrel’s and let me just tell you, this story doesn’t surprise me one bit. I hate that damn place, and I hope she gets some money out of them. They put the CRACKER in Cracker Barrel, if you know what I mean.. Read what happened..
Rock said Tuesday she planned to sue the Lebanon, Tennessee-based company. A Cracker Barrel spokeswoman said the restaurant chain was investigating and taking the complaint “very seriously.”
Cracker Barrel has in the past faced numerous lawsuits and a federal inquiry over complaints of refusing to serve black customers, discriminating against minority workers and firing gay employees. The company has taken steps to rebuild its folksy image and reach out to minorities.
Rock, who is from Georgetown, said she and her 21-year-old daughter were the only blacks at the chain’s Murrells Inlet restaurant in April. She said when she asked the manager about the delay she was told they could have a free meal.
“He never called over the waitresses and asked, ‘Why did these people sit here for a half hour without service?’ ” she said. “The only thing he said was we could have a free meal and neither of us wanted to eat.” Cracker Barrel spokeswoman Julie Davis said the company doesn’t “tolerate any form of discrimination.” [SOURCE]

Oh lawd!! Make way for child number 6 (for Eddie atleast). TMZ is reporting that Melanie Brown aka Mel B aka Scary Spice, is 4 months pregnant with Eddie’s child. This new information is right on the heels of an alleged engagement between the two. Here is what a source told TMZ:
…Brown came into the hip Le Bra Lingerie boutique in West Hollywood on Saturday and was gushing about her impending birth.
Brown, who has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, is a frequent shopper at the store and admitted the pregnancy had her feeling tired. Brown added that she was concerned she may be carrying twins since, she noted, they run in Murphy’s family.
While on her shopping spree, Melanie picked up nearly $5,000 worth of Eres lingerie for herself and about $300 worth of La Perla men’s undershirts and underwear for Eddie. [SOURCE]

Various media outlets are confirming that Wesley Snipes, 44, has be officially indicted on eight counts of tax evasion and fraud.
According to yahoo, the actor also failed to file tax returns for six years. Word is he cheated the government out of about 12 million dollars and could face up to 16 years in prison.
Snipes has not been arrested yet, because his ass is no where to be found. I’m pretty sure he is hiding out in Africa somewhere, because last year he got caught using fake South African passport. Not to mention, he was recently enstooled in Nigeria.
Whatever, I hope they catch his thieving ass. I never really liked him anyway. Didn’t he make Halle Berry deaf in one ear?
Also, whenever I think about this fool, I think about Bernie Mac on Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood .. “I hate that black ass Wesley Snipes” Yall know yall were rollin on that scene too.

While “Flavor of Love” contestant New York may have lost her man in last night’s (October 15) finale of the popular VH1 reality series, she has gained something else - the starring role in her own VH1 spin-off series, “Flavorette.”
As SOHH previously reported, VH1 has already well into production on the spin-off, which will feature New York (real nameTiffany Patterson) as the top prize in an elimination-based dating competition between 20 single guys, all looking to win the heart of the woman twice spurned by rapper Flavor Flav.
“These guys are so dramatic,” Patterson was quoted in The New York Post. “They’re worse than the women who were on season one and season two [of "Flavor of Love"]. This show is so chaotic, it’s overboard, it’s over-the-top, it’s extreme and these guys know they’re fighting for a wonderful woman so they’ve been at each other’s throats and I’m flattered by it. I can’t complain.”

Thandie Newton was amazed when she learned Angelina Jolie is to play a black woman in her latest film. The actress couldn’t hide her surprise when she was shown a picture of Angelina as murdered journalist Daniel Pearl’s mixed-race wife in the new movie about his life and death.
Thandie said:
“God I’m shocked. She’s been blacked up to play a black women. I have to say it’s surprising, very surprising.” [SOURCE]
Although the Crash star did confess she was a little jealous that the role in A Mighty Heart hadn’t gone to her, she refused to criticise Angelina. Talking at the Screen Nation Awards on Tuesday night, she added:
“It’s an absolutely fantastic role, I would loved to have played it. But I’m not going to criticise or judge her until I’ve seen the film, that would be wrong of me.”

Above is the first picture of Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl, the widow of Daniel Pearl. Daniel was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan while doing an article for The Wall Street Journal. The film is being shot in India and is titled A Mighty Heart.
A lot of people e-mailed me (Jaycen in particular), saying how outraged they were that Angelina is playing a woman of Afro-Cuban and Dutch descent. In some extreme cases, people have said this is a form of modern day blackface. I don’t know if I would go that far, but… How do you feel about Angelina playing this part?
