Trina is set to release her fourth album, Still Da Baddest, next month. The second single, “I Gotta Thing For You,” features Keyshia Cole. Here are a few video stills from the video which will be released next week featuring Trina and Keyshia (of course) and Megan Good’s man Thomas Jones.
Estelle looked chic as usual while filming the video for her new single “American Boy” this week in Brooklyn. Also there was Kanye West (who is featured on the track) and John Legend. Listen to the hot single here or at Estelle’s myspace…
Lil’ Mama teams up with Chris Brown and T-Pain for her new single, “Shawty, Get Loose!” which they have just shot a video for. Previously, Lil’ Mama only featured T-Pain on the track, but in the past couple of days, a remix has leaked with Chris Brown added to the hook. The video was directed by R. Malcolm Jones and shot in Miami, Florida. “Shawty, Get Loose!” is the third single from Lil’ Mama’s debut album, Voice of the Young People, which is due out sometime during the spring.
J. Holiday flew to Paris to shoot the video for his second single Suffocate earlier this month. He worked with director Jonathon Mannion, who also directed his last video Bed.
J. Holiday is currently getting ready for the upcoming R.Kelly tour he will partake in, along with Keyshia Cole and Ne-yo…
Ludacris has teamed up with Bun B. and Rick Ross for the new single from the Disturbing Tha Peace compilation. The single, “Down In the Durty” is produced by Clinton “Get Familiar” Sparks. It’s interesting, though, Ludacris is always good for coming out with an out to the south. The song goes hard and I can definitely see it being a radio favorite.
Jennifer Lopez went to work on the video for her new single “Do It Well” some days ago. Photographers tried hard to get shots of the latina on the set but, were disappointed when the star was covered by black tents and bodyguards. Looks like all of that was pretty pointless…
“Do It Well” is the first single off her upcoming sixth studio album titled “Brave”. I’m curious to see what this video (directed by David LaChappelle) is going to look like, with her extras and all…
Ciara makes her directorial debut after directing a video for new artist Paula Campbell. You may have heard of Paula via Brian’s new music post - this video is for her first single “Ain’t Nobody Stupid”.
This project with Ciara is part of Glamour magazine’s Reel Music Project, in which she directs a video for one out of three female artists (the other two being Tiffany Evans, Samantha Jade). Readers selected their favorite based on singles placed online.
Trina is looking mighty Rihanna-ish in her photo shoot for her new album, Da Baddest Bitch 2. Her stylists Terrence Davidson & Nadine V hooked her up though, because she does looks good. Asymmetrical haircuts are back with the attack, but if everybody and they mama start getting them again it’s going to be wack. And what the hell kind of diet did she go on? Damn!
