Although it feels like just yesterday, August 25th will mark the 10th year following the tragic passing of R&B singer Aaliyah. Check out this preview clip from Aaliyah: One In A Million, BET’s upcoming tribute to the late singer. In the video, Timbaland and Missy Elliott recall the very first time they learned that they would be working with Ms. Aaliyah Haughton after she heard and enjoyed a track demo made by them:
We did a record called “Sugar & Spice” that Timbaland and another young man took into Atlantic Records, and when they heard that record they liked the sound and it was something they had never heard before. Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for the action-dramedy, Tower Heist. The film follows a group of hard-working maintenance workers who decide to rob a Bernie Madoff-like character after falling victim to his wealthy business scheme of wiping out their pension funds. It just so happens that the schemer is under house arrest in the same high-rise building where they work.
The cast includes Ben Stiler, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Alan Alda and Gabourey Sidibe. Check out the trailer above. It looks like Eddie Murphy is playing a similar role to that of his previous roles in films like 48 Hours, Trading Places and Beverly Hills Cop.

Former member of R&B singing group 3LW, Naturi Naughton is putting her acting chops to work! The 27 year-old New Jersey-native recently landed a lead role as a playboy bunny on NBC’s newest television series, The Playboy Club. The show is based off the first Playboy Club Bunnies. Naughton plays Bunny Brenda, a young woman who hopes of becoming the first African-American Playboy Playmate. The Playboy Club premieres on Sept. 19 at 10/9pm CST on NBC.
