J. DAKAR
POLITICAL CONTRIBUTOR
J. Dakar is 24 years old, from Alabama and a student at Birmingham-Southern College where he is finishing up his B.S. in business administration with a minor in political science and a Distinction in Leadership Studies. He is a member of the Board of Directors at AIDS Alabama and co-founder of the Southern Shadows Program, a collaborative effort between the Black Student Union and Admission Office at Birmingham-Southern, which encourages Birmingham city high school students to pursue their dream of a college education.
When he’s not devoting his time and energy to a cause or Concrete Loop, J. enjoys working on his culinary skills, practicing yoga and mellowing out with music, approximately 75 GB of it.
He has been writing online since May 2001, but his passion for politics dates even further.
