Mary still sounds like ish sometimes when she’s performing, no doubt, but I’m not even talking about what Rhianna sounds like. Mary’s music has soul. Mary’s style (of music) has always been the same. As far as Janet, I’ll be one of the first people to admit that she doesn’t have vocal chops. I never listened to a Janet track, expecting her to blow me away vocally, but you could always look foward to some hot dance moves, and a good show from Janet. I guarantee you, know one who’s ever been to a Janet concert bought the ticket to hear her mind blowing vocals!

Her album is a masterpiece to me, the best out of the 3, (this year has been the year of the 3: Spiderman 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3, Rihanna’s 3rd album). I bought it today and have been bumping it from start to finish, each song is better and better!

I need to know…were some of the questions sent to Rihanna prior to the actual interview? I ask because there is a distinct difference in her answers in the first part of the interview. They sound very formal & educated. When you get to the second part of the interview, it’s almost like it gets dumbed down. She repeats herself a couple of times unnecessarily.

I detest that ridiculous Umbrella song. She needs to fire whoever wrote that song. And if she was different from the rest of the pop tarts she would be taking a stand and not taking such adult pictures. She’s 19, the majority of her fan base is probably pre-teen & teen and very impressionable.

YAY Rihanna reads my comments woohoo.

Rihanna is representing island girls and I’m proud of her. The album is different - not R&B at all - pop and rock with a tinge of reggae. I never thought I’d get into pop and rock like this. My favourite tracks are Breakin Dishes,Shut Up & Drive, Rehab and Good Girl Gone Bad. Breakin Dishes and Shut Up & Drive are great for the gym i.e. they pump you up when you’re working out. Rehab and Good Girl Gone Bad have the acoustic guitar in them that makes them so folksy. Great job Rihanna and don’t fall into the temptations of other stars i.e. go bankrupt or end up on drugs and alchol. Rihanna will be here in Toronto, Canada next week at Best Buy signing CDs, I think I will go check it out.

Umm number 9, Beyonce’s 19 year old doo doo sang better than Rihanna does. But still Im starting to like her although I dont like but 3 songs on her new album.

I’m just baffled by all the attention she’s getting. She is not a great singer AT ALL. The only reason she became famous was because she was at the right place and right time. It disturbs me because i know plenty of woman with great singing talent and looks who are still struggling, but i have NO CLUE WHY IN THE WORLD SHE IS FAMOUS. Not to compare, i’m not a big beyonce fan either, but she CAN’T TOUCH Beyonce-who has the looks and voice. If a woman was talented then fine, but can you actually say this chic has talent? Be Serious! Beyonce has talent, Alicia Keys has talent. But Rihanna, i swear i laugh because she is just a manufactured peice of nothing! Her new look is just a phase and there is no “good girl gone bad”, she’s just a 19 yr old bimbo who’s brainwashed some to think she can actually sing, when she can’t, but some still choose to get into this media hype. She didn’t write Umbrella, she just sang it. Actaully she BEGGED for it as she says in interviews. Anyone could have sung it and got to #1. Oh right, but it’s still “her” song (laughs).It’s not her singing that’s making her succeed, it’s just the hype and desperate, tasteless individuals whose standard for quality music has decreased so much, that they will just put up with anything/anybody who’s ready to please, but more importantly lacks substance!. She is such a waste of time in the American music industry. It just irks me! Do you actually think this chic has talent? Be Serious!!!! Jay-Z is investing time into her and i just don’t understand WHY. He’s a lyrical genius and she is just so superficial in every way. Everytime i hear about her i am quite mystified. I actually like Umbrella and i’m not going to lie i downloaded it, but anyone could have sung that song just as good. I’m just voicing my opinion folks, sorry if i offended anyone. Don’t get defensive, i’m just telling you like it is.

My Response to you is…at best you wish you were Rhi Rhi or the idol she claims to love. Either way next the definition of a hater you’re number 1. Get it together, by writing what you did in hopes that she will read it will not affect her life, career or her money . So why don’t you keep your focus on praising What’s her name that can’t even articulate a sentence or even explain her own lyrics and Rihanna supporters will do what we do which to support a different artist who is bringing something different to the table. Matter of fact since you yourself have a way with words maybe you can come up with an English lesson for Jayz’s lady trophy and hopes she reads it. Maybe her next song will be about you! LOL.

Also to any other haters who think Mary should have gotten the song. Honestly it would have been a totally different song. Their voices are totally different but Rhi Rhi brings that island vibe and that’s why the song is so successful. Besides Mary’s been in the game a hot minute and she’s only getting older, so how about letting someone else shine.
