Comic Sandra Bernhard ran into brick wall trying to rehash her old ‘Mimi’ joke.
Star Jones Reynolds had to bite her tongue to keep from cursing out comedian Sandra Bernhard on “The View” Friday morning.
Bernhard has made jokes in the past about biracial singer Mariah Carey appearing to cash in on her blackness only when her more mainstream pop material became passé. Star, reading from the pre-interview notes on her blue cards, asked Bernhard to explain why she is now claiming responsibility for the success of Carey’s album, “The Emancipation of Mimi.”
Bernhard said it was her jokes eight years ago about Carey “being black only when it’s convenient” that led to the singer’s nervous breakdown, which eventually resulted in this current emancipation. (read more)

If you keep up with The BV Buzz w/ Jawn Murray, like I do, then you know about that blind item that went out last week. It claimed that a popular (married) R&B star got busy on Tom Joyner’s ‘Fantastic Voyage’ with a female reality show contestant.
Well, it looks like In Touch Magazine put a face to this blind item. Here is the scoop:

Tyra Banks screamed at her in anger, but Bobby Brown had a completely different reaction when he met America’s Next Top Model contestant Tiffany Richardson on a recent cruise tour.
..Bobby, 37, seemed to only have eyes for Tiffany, 24, who was a passenger onboard. During his first few shows, he even pulled her onstage with him. “He pretended to perform sex acts on her while the crowd went crazy,” says our eyewitness. “”Then he performed a lap dance on her and said, You are so fine girl. Tyra Banks knows she was wrong for what she did to you. You should have won.”
At 4:30 the next morning, the two were spotted getting off the elevator and going into his cabin. And they were seen together for the next few days in the casino and the dining room, according to the witness.
