TV BIT: BET’S FIRST IN (NARRATED & PRODUCED BY TYRESE)

BET’s new original series, First In, premiering Friday, October 2, and narrated by actor/singer Tyrese Gibson (who also serves as an executive producer), delves into the lives of Compton’s firefighters and paramedics as they try to balance the high stress of a gruesome 72-hour work schedule and family life. Mariah Carey premieres her first “official” single from her forthcoming twelfth studio album, Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel.

Interestingly enough, “Obsessed” didn’t perform as well as they thought it would on the charts, which is why the Tricky Stewart-produced cover off Foreigner’s hit single was put out as the “official” single.

Memoirs, although it has been pushed back a few times, will hit stores and online September 29th.
