Tennis player Serena Williams is pictured smiling as she arrived at Boa Steakhouse in Beverly Hills following Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards. Randomly, she was trending topic for her *clears throat* accentuated assets while on stage. Clearly being thin is overated! Werk.
Rapper and former Dancing with The Stars cast member, Romeo kept it lowkey and chill after he left The Cheesecake Factory in sweatpants and a bag of left overs. Rumor has it, he’s dating actress Meagan Good. Of course Romeo is lickin’ those lips as usual. I see you swoonin’ over there ladies. Lol
NBA star Dwyane Wade hosted his inaugural 2011 D. Wade All-Star Basketball, Cheer & Dance Camp at Nova Southeaster University this week in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Miami Heat basketball player teamed up with Katina Taylor (wife of football player, Jason Taylor) to bring a 3-day basketball and cheer-leading camp to kids ages 6-14.
Each day, campers experienced daily games and various stations, specializing in fundamental skills and the team concept of basketball and cheer-leading. Each camper was placed in a small group according to his or her age, to assure that everyone got maximum instruction from top cheer-leading coaches in the Miami area.
Check out some photos & the video clip below from D. Wade’s All-Star Basketball Camp. Wade loves the kids!
Singer/songwriter/dancer Janelle Monae is featured in the newest issue of Glamour Magazine. The rising star spoke about her style, music and inspiring the kids. Check out some snippets below and also make sure to peep the behind the scenes photos from the shoot.
On what made her start wearing tuxedos:
“I’m just really attracted to a very tailored, classic look that commands attention. The tuxedo, especially on women, does that, I think, because of the stark black and white. It’s not a trendy thing. It’s timeless. It’s transcendent. The kind of thing you can give to your grandchildren.”
On if she ever breaks her black and white style routine:
“Do you ever just wear sweats? asked Glamour. Of course, yes. But they’re still black and white!”
On what she thinks of her fans versions of “Tightrope” on YouTube:
“It makes me so proud that I have created something that somebody can wear in their own heart. That’s what creating music is like for me. I want it to be part of your daily regimen. I want this song to be your drug.”
On seeing a schoolroom of kids singing one of her songs:
“I always think about the next generation and creating a different blueprint for them. That’s my goal: to let them know there’s another way. We don’t all have to take the same coordinates to get to the same destination.”
