Does Eddie Murphy have a new boo? Well, that’s what it looked like when he was hugged up with his alleged new girlfriend at Banks Nightclub. Word is, she was celebrating her birthday and if you look close, you can see his best friend Johnny Gill was also there for the bash.
In movie news, Eddie is working on the fourth installment of “Shrek” and denied rumors that he would be retiring from the movie business to do stand up again.

Although as much material as possible was pushed out as singles from Mariah Carey’s latest album, E=MC², it seems as though she’s already hit the studio to begin recording music for a new project.
As you may have heard, Mariah is featured on The Dream’s new single, “My Love” from his forthcoming album, Love vs. Money. He was also responsible for Mariah’s #1 single, “Touch My Body.” The-Dream stopped by L.A.’s Power 106 with Big Boy In The Morning, and talked about his new album and the fact that he hadn’t gone to sleep yet because he was up all night with Mariah working on new material for her. Apparently, the two have been cooking up some heat for the new project.
This is pretty interesting. Even though E=MC² didn’t perform as well as Def Jam would have liked, they still managed to get a lot of singles and videos out of the album. It didn’t nearly top the success of Mariah’s Emancipation of Mimi but the new album still got Mariah her eighteenth #1 single, allowing her to top Elvis Presley.
I hope this new album finds Mariah some place differently. I think her mistake was trying to recreate the sound that gained her so much success on Mimi, but she fell a little short because the material wasn’t nearly as strong.
THE DREAM MOVES ALBUM TO MARCH
Speaking of The Dream, it seems as though his sophomore set, Love vs. Money, which was originally slated to release last December, and then rescheduled for February 17th release is being moved to March 3rd.
This change, too, comes right after they switch the single from the Lil’ Jon-produced “Let Me See the Booty,” to “Rockin’ That Shit” to the Mariah Carey-assisted “My Love,” which fans seems to really be liking. Apparently, a video is being shot for the new single soon.

A premiere of the film “Notorious” over the weekend in North Carolina turned for the worse when shots fired inside the theater and hit a man:
Just after 9 p.m. Friday, police said Clive O’Connor was in a hallway at The Grand 18 Four Seasons Station when he got into an argument with an unidentified man. The man then shot O’Connor twice in the stomach and ran away.
O’Connor, 32, was taken to Moses Cone Hospital where he underwent surgery. The hospital said no information about O’Connor’s condition will be released.
Once police arrived at the theater…the crowd of about 700 moviegoers was evacuated. SOURCE
Actor Jamal Woolard, who plays Biggie in the film, was also at the Greensboro, NC theater when shots were fired but, managed to escape with no injuries. If this wasn’t enough, there was a stabbing incident at a “Notorious” film afterparty in New York on last night…
DWAYNE WADE’S DIVORCE GETS NASTY
If you haven’t heard already, NBA star Dwayne Wade is getting a divorce from his wife of six years and high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Wade.
The former Mrs. Wade makes some interesting demands and accusations in legal papers, including those of a STD infection and Dwayne being a bad father:
According to docs from recent divorce proceedings Siohvaughn, Wade’s soon-to be-ex wife, has a few minor complaints which include child abandonment, adultery, and the case of a nasty little STD infection she allegedly received from him.
She also alleges their one-year-old doesn’t even recognize the baller because he’s been so absent from the two kids they share. Siohvaughn is demanding the names of every one of his alleged sexual partners during their marriage, and it’s no secret that actress Gabrielle Union — Wade’s rumored GF — could possibly end up on that list. Jay-Z gets ready to make a toast at his Pre-Inauguration party at Love Nightclub in Washington DC. Beyonce and Solange Knowles were also there with him looking ahead in a crowded VIP area.
Jay-Z will be performing at the Inaugural “Neighborhood Ball” on Tuesday night with his wife. Beyonce is also performing today at Lincoln Memorial for the Pre-Inaugural concert, which will streaming live at HBO.com.
