♫ Dirty Money feat. Drake - Hurt
REMOVED

Fresh off the heels of the release of their video for the single, “Love Come Down,” Dirty Money releases another track from the upcoming Last Train to Paris project.

The new track, entitled “Hurt,” is assisted by none other than fan-favorite, Drake. Although the track is cool, I am a little more eager to hear the fun, experimental stuff that Diddy discussed on Making His Band.

No release date has been confirmed for Last Train to Paris.

Lynda also interviewed Alexandra for Manchester Confidential and they chatted briefly about Concrete Loop…

Lynda: “I write for Manchester Confidential but this will be going on Concrete Loop too. I send things over for them sometimes. Do you know the site?”
Alexandra: “Oh my God. Concrete Loop-the American site? Of course I know it! When I was on there I nearly cried because it’s an American site and I’m not known out there.”

Lynda: “Yeah but there was lots of great feedback from readers. Don’t focus on the negative. One person actually compared you to Toni Braxton.”
Alexandra: “Wow that’s amazing. She’s amazing. That’s so cool. I was checking Concrete Loop when I was doing the album and stuff. When we got closer to finishing the album that’s when they started featuring me on there. They featured the Bad Boys video on there with Flo. It’s really cool.” [ READ THE FULL INTERVIEW ]

Friday, November 13, 2009 |

Alicia Keys gives fans a peak of her new album cover, after an alleged fan-made mock-up was posted all over the blogosphere earlier this week. Her fourth studio album, titled Elements of Freedom, will hit stores just in time for Christmas on December 15th.

She recently shot a video for her second single, “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart,” and it has also been confirmed that the album will have an “Empire State of Mind,” part 2, featuring Jay-Z.

JAME FOXX ALBUM NEWS

Just after we posted the new single, “♫ Speak French,” from Jamie Foxx, new information surfaces about his presently untitled, upcoming fourth studio album.

He’s got a roster of some of this year’s hottest songwriters and producers to helm the bulk of his album, including the dynamic duo of The Dream and Tricky Stewart, who produced his first single, “Just Like Me” and the widely popular last single, “Digital Girl,” from 2008’s Intuition.

“He’s one of our favorite artists to work with. When I think of Jamie, I’m always gonna think to pound the urban community,” Tricky tells Rap-Up.com.

“He has a really solid fan base in the urban community and I feel like his pop appeal comes through his personality, so we’ll make sure that we keep the music really urban.”

Rico Love, who also makes contributions to the album, says that Jamie did most of his recording while on tour this summer. There is no set release date for Jamie’s forthcoming album, however, it is said to drop at the top of next year.

NEW MUSIC: SOLANGE - “STILLNESS IS THE MOVE”

Friday, November 13, 2009 |

♫ Solange - Stillness Is the Move
ALTERNATE LINK

Solange has been in and out of the studio, while still doing performances all over the world, working on her currently untitled third studio album.

When asked about the direction of the third album, Solange said that the new record will pick up where “This Bird” left off, experimenting with more electronic and down-beat elements. There presently is no release date for the album, but it’s good to hear some of the fruits of Solo’s labor.

It’s doubtful that the new track, “Stillness Is the Move,” a cover of the Dirty Projectors, which sample’s Dr. Dre’s “Xxplosive” (originally sampling Soul Mann & The Brothers’ “Bumpy’s Lament”), will make the album.
