President Barack Obama gives a thumbs-up to the Notre Dame University graduating class of 2009 during the 164th commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 17, in South Bend, Indiana. While, First Lady Michelle Obama delivered the commencement speech at the University of California, Merced on Saturday, May 16.
The President received an honorary law degree from the university and delivered the commencement address amid protests.
