Two months from today, a documentary based on the life of legendary reggae icon Bob Marley will be in movie theaters around the US. In conjunction with Magnolia Pictures, Marley (a film directed by Kevin Macdonald) will give reggae and music fans alike a glimpse into the late musician’s life and will include rare behind-the-scenes footage, photos and performances. Worn Free, a renowned Los Angeles-based apparel company known for their reproductions of vintage tees worn by iconic rock stars, has teamed with Marley & Co. to create a new line of T-shirts featuring prints which were originally worn by Reggae/Roots legend Bob Marley.
The Marley-inspired line features a collection of six designs; each one a reproduction of a t-shirt that Bob Marley once wore. They retail for $45 to $50.
Lauryn Hill stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday evening and performed a two song Bob Marley tribute set for the 30th Anniversary of the Reggae star’s death.
Ms. Hill is rumored to be pregnant with her 6th child (by Bob’s son Rohan), but has yet to confirm it to the media. In related news, Lauryn is expected to perform an entire Marley tribute set at the Mezzanine in San Francisco on May 18th.
