NEWS/VIDEO: ETTA JAMES’ FUNERAL HELD IN CALIFORNIA + CHRISTINA AGUILERA SINGS “AT LAST”

The funeral for the legendary soul and jazz singer Etta James was held over the weekend in California. The 73 year-old died last week after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease and leukemia (READ MORE). Pictured below is her son Dante James, singers Stevie Wonder and Christina Aguilera and activist Al Sharpton.

Christina sang the classic Etta song “At Last” during the service and you can check that out below.

EVENTS: 2ND ANNUAL MARY J. BLIGE HONORS CONCERT

Singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige, designer Donna Karen, singer/actress Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson and Letoya Luckett were among the celebrities that attended the 2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert at Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday (May 1) in New York City.

The Hammerstein Ballroom was filled with men and women all gathering to support Mary J Blige’s charity, FFAWN, helping to fund programs to empower women to reach their full potential. The atmosphere was decorated by designer Donna Karan, whose Urban Zen Foundation also supported FFAWN.

SNEAK PEEK VIDEO: ‘THE VOICE’ JUDGES PERFORM GNARLS BARKLEY’S “CRAZY”

With much anticipation, the NBC singing competition The Voice will finally be making its way to our television screens next Tuesday. Check out this sneak peek video of all the judges/coaches (Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera & Blake Shelton) performing Gnarls Barkley’s 2006 hit single, “Crazy”. Definitely look forward to watching the show and its interesting spin on picking out the best talent.

The Voice, hosted by Carson Daly, premieres Tuesday, April 26th at 9/8c on NBC.

EVENTS: 53RD ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS (PERFORMANCE PICS + VIDEOS)

On Sunday night recording artists, musicians, songwriters, producers and more all came together to celebrate award nominations and winners at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards held at the Staples Centers Arena in Los Angeles, California. The award ceremony highlighted performances by artists like Jennifer Hudson, Cee-Lo, Rihanna, Drake and Lady Gaga as well as newcomers like Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith and Bruno Mars.
