Rihanna brought in the new year with 15,000 fans at her New Year’s Eve concert at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Thursday night.
The singer performed a 17-song set and also shared her New Year’s resolution:
“I want to stop shopping, being late, start waking up early, stuff like that. I’d like to see my mum and grandparents more. I want to learn the drums and I want to work with Depeche Mode so bad.”

Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Janelle Monáe performed in Kia Motors “The Soul Collective” this past weekend in Hollywood.
Word is, her debut EP, Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase, will be followed up with Suites II and III, slated for released January 2010.

Jay-Z and Ciara started their five-city summer tour at The Pearl concert theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Friday night. Ciara is the opening act for Jay-Z, and they will be performing again at Palms Casino on July 4th.
Jay-Z is set to release his new album The Blueprint 3 in September of this year.
