Bobby Valentino – Rockin’ With the Best (full) – listen
Bobby Valentino is working on his new album, Fly On the Wall. Check out the new track, “Rockin’ With the Best,” produced by The Neptunes. Honestly, I kind of like the song, but then again, I’ve always been partial to Neptunes productions. It sounds like some of Pharrell and Chad’s older work, which is interesting, and very refreshing.
Tyrese feat. Sean Garrett – Like I Used To (full) – listen
Tyrese is working on his fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2006′s Alter Ego. There’s no word on an album title or a single yet, but a couple of tracks have leaked from the upcoming project. The most recent of the material is “Like I Used To,” featuring songwriter-turned-artist, Sean Garrett, who has been struggling to his solo project off the ground.
Live Nation and BET Networks has joined forces to produce a series of U.S. tours that are set to visit Live Nation-owned House of Blues venues and other clubs and theaters across the country.
The new partnership will launch this fall with the 106 & Park Tour, which featuring co-headliners Trey Songz, who just released his third album, Ready and Mario, who is gearing up to release his fourth album, D.N.A. some time this year.
“BET is a brand that is highly respected by artists and music fans alike and they wield considerable marketing power in major markets across the U.S.,” House of Blues president of talent Michael Yerke said in a statement. “Together we hope to expand the roster of national tours playing Live Nation’s national network of clubs and theaters.” [SOURCE]
The tour begins September 29th at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, and will visit major U.S. cities through November. Accompanying the two headliners are Day 26, Sean Garrett and newcomers, RydazNRtist.
Amerie has shot a video for her second single, “Heard ‘Em All,”. A remix recently dropped, featuring Lil’ Wayne, but in this clip, he doesn’t seem to be involved with the video.
The Anthony Mandler-directed clip is supposed to drop Wednesday afternoon. The new album, In Love & War is set to hit stores November 3rd. Let’s hope this second single can give it a bigger push!
Pop sensation Nelly Furtado has been on the promo trail for her Spanish album, Mi Plan but recently dropped some information about her forthcoming English album, which she plans to release next year.
She has already knocked out some songs with super producer, Timbaland, with whom the “Promiscuous Girl” singer displayed wonderful chemistry with on her 2006′s pop/dance album, Loose
“Timbaland and I hooked up over spring break and we wrote about 10 songs together and we had a blast,” she told The Associated Press.
“The magic’s still there between us,” she said. “We love each other so much. We fight some times, but we really always come back to that special musical friendship that we have.”
This is exciting news. Loose was great for Nelly. She and Justin Timberlake (with FutureSex/LoveSounds) really helped to bring Timbaland to the forefront of pop music.

♫ Mario feat. Gucci Mane & Sean Garrett – Break Up (full) – listen
I’m a little confused about Mario’s project. From the sounds on the last updates he gave us, he said he was going to scale down the amount of producers that he’s working with on the new album, but it seems as though there are a lot of producers he’s working with this time around. The new song, “Break Up” is produced by Bangladesh, and is written by Sean Garrett. I’m not mad at the song, it’s just that something sounds a tad unfinished about it.
♫ Ciara – Kiss My Swag (full) – listen
Ciara’s Fantasy Ride finally has a solid release date of May 5th and it seems as though it finally has developed a definite sound too. Judging from this Darkchild production and the current single, “Love Sex Magic,” Ciara is going for a more pop/dance album, which isn’t surprising. There’s a lot of synths and electronic elements on a lot of the newer material that’s leaked. Although I’m pretty tired of the word “swag,” I can’t say that this song bothers me. Great dance track.
