Nick Cannon departs LAX airport dressed in a suit and flying solo in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. The former comedian-turned versatile business man was recently the talk of a lot of blogs. He slammed Eminem for talking about his wife, Mariah Carey, in a recent song.
In the tune, “Bagpipes From Baghdad” Eminem said, “I want another crack at ya” and “Nick Cannon better back…up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.’” Among a few other lines. Eminem has said he dated Mariah for about six months in 2001.
Cannon blogged: “I felt sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past. Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago. What type of grown…man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL!”
Cannon and Carey just celebrated their one-year anniversary in Las Vegas. The two eloped to the Bahamas in April 2008.
Eminem is back after a 4 year hiatus with a new video entitled, “We Made You..” The song was produced by his good friend Dr. Dre of course and also has a brief cameo from 50 Cent.
The song will be on Em’s forthcoming album, Relapse, due out May 19.
Jennifer Hudson is gearing up for her first full-scale concert tour. She kicks off a 25 date event in Albany, New York, on March 31 with Robin Thicke.
In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Jennifer said:
“I’m excited to get out and meet the people and sing for the people. I always love to perform live. The only other tour I’ve been part of is the (American) Idol tour, so this’ll be more intimate and personal.” Source

Speaking of Robin Thicke…He’s preparing to release a single from his next album this summer and the full-length release in the fall.
While promoting his upcoming concert with J. Hud, he said he’s got about 15 new songs and that he’s been working with a variety of producers instead of doing all the work himself:
“I always wanted to be like Prince and write and produce myself. This time I’m not trying to take all the credit…and work with a lot of the best producers in the business. So my sound is going to be a lot different than anything I’ve ever done before. The sound I’m getting is brand new for me. It’s great.” Source
He said with “this crazy new sound”, he’s “really stretching the ceiling a little bit with an open mind, and the results have been wonderful”. Can’t wait!
